加以警戒、使服爾律、惟彼驕矜、不從爾命、爾之律例、人遵之則得生、彼乃犯之、強項背逆、不肯聽從、

加以訓誨、使服爾律例、彼妄自誇大、不從爾命、爾之法度、遵之者則得生、彼故犯之、強項難馴、背命不聽。

加以警戒、使復服主之律法、乃彼狂妄、不從主之誡命、干犯主之法度、人若遵之必得生、彼乃違背強項、不欲聽從、

“ You warned them in order to turn them back to your law, but they became arrogant and disobeyed your commands. They sinned against your ordinances, of which you said,‘ The person who obeys them will live by them.’ Stubbornly they turned their backs on you, became stiff- necked and refused to listen.

“ You warned them so that they would obey your law again. But they became proud. They didn’t obey your commands. They sinned against your rules. You said,‘ Anyone who obeys my rules will live by them.’ But the people didn’t care about that. They turned their backs on you. They became very stubborn. They refused to listen to you.

And you warned them in order to turn them back to your law. Yet they acted presumptuously and did not obey your commandments, but sinned against your rules, which if a person does them, he shall live by them, and they turned a stubborn shoulder and stiffened their neck and would not obey.

“ You warned them to return to your Law, but they became proud and obstinate and disobeyed your commands. They did not follow your regulations, by which people will find life if only they obey. They stubbornly turned their backs on you and refused to listen.

“但我们的列祖行事狂傲，硬着颈项不听从你的诫命；

所以，你们要守我的律例典章；人若遵行，就必因此活着。我是耶和华。

“然而，他们不顺从，竟背叛你，将你的律法丢在背后，杀害那劝他们归向你的众先知，大大惹动你的怒气。

就施行神迹奇事在法老和他一切臣仆，并他国中的众民身上。你也得了名声，正如今日一样，因为你知道他们向我们列祖行事狂傲。

但他赐更多的恩典，所以经上说：“神阻挡骄傲的人，赐恩给谦卑的人。”故此，你们要顺服神。务要抵挡魔鬼，魔鬼就必离开你们逃跑了。你们亲近神，神就必亲近你们。有罪的人哪，要洁净你们的手！心怀二意的人哪，要清洁你们的心！你们要愁苦、悲哀、哭泣，将喜笑变作悲哀，欢乐变作愁闷。务要在主面前自卑，主就必叫你们升高。

他们却不肯听从，扭转肩头，塞耳不听，使心硬如金钢石，不听律法和万军之耶和华用灵藉从前的先知所说的话。故此，万军之耶和华大发烈怒。

何沙雅的儿子亚撒利雅和加利亚的儿子约哈难，并一切狂傲的人，就对耶利米说：“你说谎言！耶和华我们的神并没有差遣你来说：‘你们不可进入埃及，在那里寄居。’

“万军之耶和华以色列的神如此说：我必使我所说的一切灾祸临到这城和属城的一切城邑，因为他们硬着颈项不听我的话。”

“从犹大王亚们的儿子约西亚十三年直到今日，这二十三年之内，常有耶和华的话临到我；我也对你们传说，就是从早起来传说，只是你们没有听从。耶和华也从早起来，差遣他的仆人众先知到你们这里来（只是你们没有听从，也没有侧耳而听），说：‘你们各人当回头，离开恶道和所作的恶，便可居住耶和华古时所赐给你们和你们列祖之地，直到永远。不可随从别神侍奉敬拜，以你们手所做的惹我发怒；这样，我就不加害与你们。然而你们没有听从我，竟以手所做的惹我发怒，陷害自己。这是耶和华说的。’”

他们却不听从，不侧耳而听，竟硬着颈项不听，不受教训。”

你们却不听从，不侧耳而听，竟硬着颈项行恶，比你们列祖更甚。

因此，我藉先知砍伐他们，以我口中的话杀戮他们；我施行的审判如光发出。

到如今还没有懊悔，没有惧怕，没有遵行我在你们和你们列祖面前所设立的法度律例。

你们当听，当侧耳而听。不要骄傲，因为耶和华已经说了。耶和华你们的神未使黑暗来到，你们的脚未在昏暗山上绊跌之先，当将荣耀归给他；免得你们盼望光明，他使光明变为死荫，成为幽暗。你们若不听这话，我必因你们的骄傲在暗地哭泣；我眼必痛哭流泪，因为耶和华的群众被掳去了。

律法原不本乎信，只说：“行这些事的，就必因此活着。”

“论到你奉耶和华的名向我们所说的话，我们必不听从。我们定要成就我们口中所出的一切话，向天后烧香、浇奠祭，按着我们与我们列祖、君王、首领在犹大的城邑中和耶路撒冷的街市上素常所行的一样；因为那时我们吃饱饭、享福乐，并不见灾祸。

但他心高气傲，灵也刚愎，甚至行事狂傲，就被革去王位，夺去荣耀。

摩西、亚伦就进去见法老，对他说：“耶和华希伯来人的神这样说：‘你在我面前不肯自卑要到几时呢？容我的百姓去，好侍奉我。

那时，有许多祸患灾难临到他们，这歌必在他们面前作见证，他们后裔的口中必念诵不忘。我未领他们到我所起誓应许之地以先，他们所怀的意念我都知道了。”

但神仍遣先知到他们那里，引导他们归向耶和华。这先知警戒他们，他们却不肯听。

我今日呼天唤地向你们作见证，你们必在过约旦河得为业的地上速速灭尽！你们不能在那地上长久，必尽行除灭。

耶稣说：“你回答的是；你这样行，就必得永生。”

摩西写着说：“人若行那出于律法的义，就必因此活着。”

耶和华他们列祖的神因为爱惜自己的民和他的居所，从早起来差遣使者去警戒他们。

但耶和华藉众先知、先见劝戒以色列人和犹大人说：“当离开你们的恶行，谨守我的诫命律例，遵行我吩咐你们列祖，并藉我仆人众先知所传给你们的律法。”

将我的律例赐给他们，将我的典章指示他们；人若遵行就必因此活着。
