And Moses said to them:“ Have you kept all the women alive?

說：「你們為什麼讓這些婦女活著？

摩西對他們說：“你們讓這些婦女存活嗎？

對他們說：『你們讓這一切女的都活着麼？

爾生存眾婦乎、

曰、奚拯眾婦、存其生乎。

謂之曰、爾何為存留婦女、

“ Have you allowed all the women to live?” he asked them.

“ Have you let all the women remain alive?” Moses asked them.

Moses said to them,“ Have you let all the women live?

“ Why have you let all the women live?” he demanded.

“ Have you let every female live?” he asked them.

And Moses said to them,“ Have you spared all the women?

And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?

“ Have you let every female live?” he asked them.

And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?

Moses said to them,“ Have you allowed all the women to live?

Moses said to them,“ Have you saved all the women alive?

Now go and attack Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them. But kill both man and woman, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’”

We took all his cities at that time, and we utterly destroyed the men, women, and little ones of every city; we left none remaining.

Cursed is he who does the work of the Lord deceitfully, And cursed is he who keeps back his sword from blood.

And all the spoil of these cities and the livestock, the children of Israel took as booty for themselves; but they struck every man with the edge of the sword until they had destroyed them, and they left none breathing.

So Joshua conquered all the land: the mountain country and the South and the lowland and the wilderness slopes, and all their kings; he left none remaining, but utterly destroyed all that breathed, as the Lord God of Israel had commanded.

So it was that all who fell that day, both men and women, were twelve thousand— all the people of Ai.

And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, ox and sheep and donkey, with the edge of the sword.

“ But of the cities of these peoples which the Lord your God gives you as an inheritance, you shall let nothing that breathes remain alive,but you shall utterly destroy them: the Hittite and the Amorite and the Canaanite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite, just as the Lord your God has commanded you,lest they teach you to do according to all their abominations which they have done for their gods, and you sin against the Lord your God.

Utterly slay old and young men, maidens and little children and women; but do not come near anyone on whom is the mark; and begin at My sanctuary.” So they began with the elders who were before the temple.

And when the Lord your God delivers it into your hands, you shall strike every male in it with the edge of the sword.

O daughter of Babylon, who are to be destroyed, Happy the one who repays you as you have served us!Happy the one who takes and dashes Your little ones against the rock!
