“ Six of the towns you give the Levites will be cities of refuge, to which a person who has killed someone may flee. In addition, give them forty-two other towns.

“ Six of the towns you give the Levites will be cities to go to for safety. A person who has killed someone can run to one of them. Also give the Levites 42 other towns.

“ The cities that you give to the Levites shall be the six cities of refuge, where you shall permit the manslayer to flee, and in addition to them you shall give forty-two cities.

“ Six of the towns you give the Levites will be cities of refuge, where a person who has accidentally killed someone can flee for safety. In addition, give them forty two other towns.

The cities which you shall give to the Levites shall be the six cities of refuge, which you shall provide for the one who commits manslaughter to flee to; and in addition to them you shall give forty two cities.

“ Now among the cities which you will give to the Levites you shall appoint six cities of refuge, to which a manslayer may flee. And to these you shall add forty-two cities.

And the cities which ye shall give unto the Levites, they shall be the six cities of refuge, which ye shall give for the manslayer to flee unto: and besides them ye shall give forty and two cities.

于是以色列人照着耶和华所吩咐的，从自己的产业中，把以下这些城市和城的郊野，给了利未人。

以色列人把误杀人者的避难城希伯仑，和希伯仑的郊野，又把立拿和立拿的郊野给了亚伦祭司的子孙，

以色列人又从迦得支派中，把误杀人者的避难城，就是在基列的拉末和拉末的郊野，给了他们；又给他们玛哈念和玛哈念的郊野，

又从流本支派中，给了他们比悉和比悉的郊野，雅杂和雅杂的郊野，

以色列人又从玛拿西半个支派中，把误杀人者的避难城，就是在巴珊的哥兰，和哥兰的郊野，给了利未人的家族中革顺的子孙；又给了他们比．施提拉和比．施提拉的郊野，共两座城。

以色列人把误杀人者的避难城，就是在以法莲山地的示剑和示剑的郊野，给了他们；又把基色和基色的郊野，给了他们；

以色列人又从拿弗他利支派中，把误杀人者的避难城，就是在加利利的基低斯和基低斯的郊野，给了他们；又给他们哈末．多珥和哈末．多珥的郊野，加珥但和加珥但的郊野，共三座城。

耶和华要给受欺压的人作保障，作患难时的避难所。

也必有亭子，日间可以使人得阴凉、避炎热，也可以作避难时藏身之所，或作躲避狂风暴雨之处。

你们所有劳苦担重担的人哪，到我这里来吧！我必使你们得安息。

我的拯救，我的荣耀，都在于神；我坚固的磐石，我的避难所，都在于神。众民哪！你们要常常倚靠他，在他面前倾心吐意；因为神是我们的避难所。（细拉）

你们指定的城，要给你们作六座避难城。在约旦河东面，你们要分出三座城；在迦南地，你们也要分出三座城，都要作避难城。

“你要告诉以色列人：‘你们要照着我藉着摩西命令你们的，为自己设立避难城，好使那出于错误、并非蓄意杀人的，可以逃到那里去；这些城要成为你们逃避报血仇的人的避难所。那杀人的要逃到这些城中的一座，站在城门口，把自己的事情向城中的众长老述说，长老就要把他接入城中，到他们那里，并要给他地方，使他可以住在他们中间。如果报血仇的人追赶他，长老不可把他交在报血仇的人手里，因为他并非蓄意杀人，他以前与他并没有仇恨。那杀人的要住在那城里，直到他站在会众面前受审；等到当时的大祭司死了，才可以回到本城本家，回到他逃出来的城那里。’”于是以色列人在拿弗他利山地，把加利利的基低斯分别出来；在以法莲山地，把示剑分别出来；在犹大山地，把基列．亚巴分别出来，基列．亚巴就是希伯仑；又在约旦河东，耶利哥的东面，从流本支派中，指定在旷野平原上的比悉；从迦得支派中，指定在基列的拉末；从玛拿西支派中，指定在巴珊的哥兰。这些都是为所有的以色列人，和在他们中间寄居的外族人所指定的城，让误杀人的可以逃到那里，不致死在报血仇的人手里，直到他站在会众面前受审为止。

那时，摩西在约旦河东，日出的方向，把三座城分别出来，让那些素无仇恨、无心误杀人的，可以逃到那里去；逃到这三座城的一座去的，都可以活着：为流本人，分出了在旷野平原的比悉；为迦得人，分出了基列的拉末；为玛拿西人，分出了巴珊的哥兰。

这两件事是不能更改的，因为神是决不说谎的。因此，我们这些逃进避难所的人，就大得安慰，抓紧那摆在我们面前的盼望。

求你向我右边观看，没有人关心我；我没有逃难的地方，也没有人照顾我。耶和华啊！我向你呼求；我说：“你是我的避难所，是我在活人之地的业分。
