我（“我”有古抄本作“你”）曾对耶和华说：“你是我的主，我的好处不在你以外。”至于世上的圣民，他们都是尊贵荣美的人，全是我所喜爱的。

这话是可信的，我愿你确实地强调这些事，使信神的人常常留心作善工；这些都是美事，并且是对人有益的。

他所赐的，有作使徒的，有作先知的，有作传福音的，也有作牧养和教导的，为的是要装备圣徒，去承担圣工，建立基督的身体；直到我们众人对神的儿子都有一致的信仰和认识，可以长大成人，达到基督丰盛长成的身量；

看哪！这是我的仆人，我扶持他；我所拣选的，我的心喜悦他；我已经把我的灵赐给他，他必把公理带给万国。他不呼喊，也不扬声，也不叫人在街上听见他的声音。压伤的芦苇，他不折断；将熄灭的灯火，他不吹灭；他忠实地传出公理。他不灰心，也不沮丧，直到他在地上设立公理，众海岛的人都等候他的教训。那创造诸天，展开穹苍，铺张大地和大地所出的一切，赐气息给地上的众人，又赐灵性给在地上行的人的耶和华神这样说：“我耶和华凭着公义呼召了你；我必紧拉着你的手，我必保护你，立你作人民的约，作列国的光，为要开瞎子的眼，领被囚的出牢狱，领住在黑暗中的出监牢。
