Aaron is to present the Levites before the Lord as a wave offering from the Israelites, so that they may be ready to do the work of the Lord.

Aaron must bring the Levites to me. They are a wave offering from the Israelites. That is how they will be set apart to do my work.

and Aaron shall offer the Levites before the Lord as a wave offering from the people of Israel, that they may do the service of the Lord.

Raising his hands, Aaron must then present the Levites to the Lord as a special offering from the people of Israel, thus dedicating them to the Lord’s service.

均付諸亞倫及其子手、使搖於耶和華前。

摩西取羊腔、搖於耶和華前、是腔摩西得之、循耶和華命。

搖於我前、所搖之腔、所舉之肩、必為聖物、歸於祭司、厥後離世故之人庶可飲酒。

耶和華諭摩西曰、可使利未族近前、侍於祭司亞倫側、而輔翼之、從事於會幕前、代亞倫及會眾、守所當守、守會幕之器、代以色列族、守所當守、從事於此。爾在以色列族中、必以利未人、悉畀亞倫及其子、使為助理。惟立亞倫及其子為祭司、以守其職、外人近聖室、必致死亡。○耶和華諭摩西曰、我耶和華取利未人、代以色列族初胎之男子、故利未人屬我。昔在埃及、我戮其地諸冢子時、取以色列族初胎之男、首生之畜、使獻於我、故凡初胎與首生者、悉歸於我、我耶和華所命如是。○耶和華在西乃野、諭摩西曰、利未諸丁男、循其世系宗族、自一月以上者、當核其數。摩西遵耶和華命而行。利未子名、臚列如左、革順、哥轄、米喇哩。革順生立尼、示每。哥轄生暗蘭、以斯哈、希伯崙、烏泄。米喇哩生抹利、母示、斯利未子孫、依其世系。○屬革順者有立尼、示每、二族、其諸丁男、自一月以上、計七千五百、皆當於會幕後、西向列營。拉利子以利亞薩為革順族長。革順人所守者、會幕、及其蓋、幬為幕門、幕帷、及壇四周之場帷、幬為場門、及所用之索。○屬哥轄者、有暗蘭、以斯哈、希伯崙、烏泄四族、其諸丁男、自一月以上、計八千六百、使守聖所、皆當於會幕南向列營。烏泄子以利撒反、為哥轄族長。哥轄人所守者、法匱、几案、燈臺、祭壇、香壇、與幬、及聖室器皿、用以服事者。祭司亞倫子以利亞撒為利未族諸長之冠、統理守聖室之人。○屬米喇哩者、有抹利母示二族、其諸丁男、自一月以上、計六千二百、皆當於會幕北向列營、亞庇孩子蘇列為米喇哩族長。米喇哩人所守者、會幕之板、楗、柱、座、與所用器皿、及場四周之柱、座、釘、索。○惟摩西亞倫及亞倫子、於會幕前、東向列營、代以色列族守其所守、護持聖室、外人近之、必致死亡。摩西亞倫遵耶和華命、核利未人數、依其世系、諸丁男、自一月以上、計二萬二千。○耶和華諭摩西曰、以色列族丁男冢子、自一月以上者、宜核其數、取利未人代以色列族初胎之男、以歸我耶和華、亦取利未人之畜、代以色列族首生之牲、以獻於我。摩西循耶和華命為以色列族之丁男冢子、核算其數、依其名籍、自一月以上者、計二萬二千二百七十三。○
