援爾於惡者之道、脫出詞乖謬之人、

免為惡人忤逆者所誘、

救爾於惡道、救爾脫於言辭乖戾之人、

Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse,

Wisdom will save you from the ways of evil men. It will save you from men who twist their words.

Wisdom will save you from evil people, from those whose words are twisted.

It will rescue you from the way of evil— from anyone who says perverse things,

To rescue you from the way of evil, From a person who speaks perverse things;

To deliver you from the way of evil, From the man who speaks perverse things,

To deliver thee from the way of evil, From the men that speak perverse things;

rescuing you from the way of evil— from the one who says perverse things,

To deliver thee from the way of the evil[ man], from the man that speaketh froward things;

to deliver you from the way of the wicked, from those speaking perversity,

to deliver you from the way of evil, from the men who speak perverse things,

Do not be deceived:“ Bad company ruins good morals.”

The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.

Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you,

Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.

I do not sit with men of falsehood, nor do I consort with hypocrites.I hate the assembly of evildoers, and I will not sit with the wicked.

With regard to the works of man, by the word of your lips I have avoided the ways of the violent.My steps have held fast to your paths; my feet have not slipped.

A dishonest man spreads strife, and a whisperer separates close friends.A man of violence entices his neighbor and leads him in a way that is not good.Whoever winks his eyes plans dishonest things; he who purses his lips brings evil to pass.

Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of the evil.Avoid it; do not go on it; turn away from it and pass on.For they cannot sleep unless they have done wrong; they are robbed of sleep unless they have made someone stumble.For they eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence.

for the devious person is an abomination to the Lord, but the upright are in his confidence.

and from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things, to draw away the disciples after them.

For your hands are defiled with blood and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies; your tongue mutters wickedness.No one enters suit justly; no one goes to law honestly; they rely on empty pleas, they speak lies, they conceive mischief and give birth to iniquity.They hatch adders’ eggs; they weave the spider’s web; he who eats their eggs dies, and from one that is crushed a viper is hatched.

Leave your simple ways, and live, and walk in the way of insight.”

A perverse heart shall be far from me; I will know nothing of evil.

Do not let my heart incline to any evil, to busy myself with wicked deeds in company with men who work iniquity, and let me not eat of their delicacies!

My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent.If they say,“ Come with us, let us lie in wait for blood; let us ambush the innocent without reason;like Sheol let us swallow them alive, and whole, like those who go down to the pit;we shall find all precious goods, we shall fill our houses with plunder;throw in your lot among us; we will all have one purse”—my son, do not walk in the way with them; hold back your foot from their paths,for their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed blood.For in vain is a net spread in the sight of any bird,but these men lie in wait for their own blood; they set an ambush for their own lives.Such are the ways of everyone who is greedy for unjust gain; it takes away the life of its possessors.
