Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;

那等人舍弃正直的路，行走黑暗的道，

那種人捨棄正直的路徑，去行黑暗的路；

若輩離乎正路、行於暗途、

彼離正道、行於幽暗、

彼離正直之道、欲行幽暗之路、

who have left the straight paths to walk in dark ways,

Men like that have left the straight paths to walk in dark ways.

who forsake the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness,

These men turn from the right way to walk down dark paths.

from those who abandon the right paths to walk in ways of darkness,

From those who leave the paths of uprightness To walk in the ways of darkness;

From those who leave the paths of uprightness To walk in the ways of darkness;

Who forsake the paths of uprightness, To walk in the ways of darkness;

from those who abandon the right paths to walk in ways of darkness,

who leave the upright paths to walk on the dark ways,

who forsake the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness,

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

The way of the wicked[ is] as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.

For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known[ it], to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog[ is] turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.The murderer rising with the light killeth the poor and needy, and in the night is as a thief.The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me: and disguiseth[ his] face.In the dark they dig through houses,[ which] they had marked for themselves in the daytime: they know not the light.

There was a man sent from God, whose name[ was] John.

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified[ him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

For[ it is] impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put[ him] to an open shame.

When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth[ it] empty, swept, and garnished.Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last[ state] of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was:( but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse:[ but] thou hast kept the good wine until now.This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

They are all gone aside, they are[ all] together become filthy:[ there is] none that doeth good, no, not one.

They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his[ righteousness] in the day that he sinneth.When I shall say to the righteous,[ that] he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.

The words of his mouth[ are] iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise,[ and] to do good.

When a righteous[ man] turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.

Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.

And them that are turned back from the LORD; and[ those] that have not sought the LORD, nor enquired for him.

Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.Therefore let us not sleep, as[ do] others; but let us watch and be sober.For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.
