智慧要救你脫離淫婦，就是那油嘴滑舌的外女。

智慧要救你遠離陌生女子，遠離那油嘴滑舌的外邦女子。

智慧要救你脫離淫婦，脫離說諂媚話的妓女。

智慧必援救你遠離陌生婦人，遠離說諂媚話的外女；

這也是要解救你遠離淫婦，遠離說諂媚話的淫蕩女子——

維彼智慧、必援爾於淫婦、即諂言之外婦、

淫婦善媚、爾既守道、免為所惑、

明哲亦救爾脫於淫婦、脫於諂言之遊女、遊女原文作外女

Wisdom will save you also from the adulterous woman, from the wayward woman with her seductive words,

Wisdom will save you from a woman who commits adultery. It will save you from a sinful woman and her tempting words.

So you will be delivered from the forbidden woman, from the adulteress with her smooth words,

Wisdom will save you from the immoral woman, from the seductive words of the promiscuous woman.

It will rescue you from a forbidden woman, from a wayward woman with her flattering talk,

To rescue you from the strange woman, From the foreign woman who flatters with her words,

To deliver you from the immoral woman, From the seductress who flatters with her words,

To deliver thee from the strange woman, Even from the foreigner that flattereth with her words;

It will rescue you from a forbidden woman, from a stranger with her flattering talk,

to deliver you from the adulteress, from the sexually loose woman who speaks flattering words;

to deliver you from the strange woman, even from the foreigner who flatters with her words,

To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.

And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart[ is] snares and nets,[ and] her hands[ as] bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her.

For a whore[ is] a deep ditch; and a strange woman[ is] a narrow pit.

That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger[ which] flattereth with her words.For at the window of my house I looked through my casement,And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding,Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house,In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night:And, behold, there met him a woman[ with] the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.( She[ is] loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house:Now[ is she] without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)So she caught him, and kissed him,[ and] with an impudent face said unto him,[ I have] peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows.Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved[ works], with fine linen of Egypt.I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves.For the goodman[ is] not at home, he is gone a long journey:He hath taken a bag of money with him,[ and] will come home at the day appointed.With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him.He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it[ is] for his life.

And his master saw that the LORD[ was] with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand.And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all[ that] he had he put into his hand.And it came to pass from the time[ that] he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.And he left all that he had in Joseph’s hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was[ a] goodly[ person], and well favoured.And it came to pass after these things, that his master’s wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.But he refused, and said unto his master’s wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what[ is] with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;[ There is] none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou[ art] his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her,[ or] to be with her.And it came to pass about this time, that[ Joseph] went into the house to do his business; and[ there was] none of the men of the house there within.And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.

The mouth of strange women[ is] a deep pit: he that is abhorred of the LORD shall fall therein.

For the lips of a strange woman drop[ as] an honeycomb, and her mouth[ is] smoother than oil:But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a twoedged sword.Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable,[ that] thou canst not know[ them].Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house:Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel:Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours[ be] in the house of a stranger;And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad,[ and] rivers of waters in the streets.Let them be only thine own, and not strangers’ with thee.Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.[ Let her be as] the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love.And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?

A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his feet.

Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did outlandish women cause to sin.Shall we then hearken unto you to do all this great evil, to transgress against our God in marrying strange wives?
