turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding—

Let your ears listen to wisdom. Apply your heart to understanding.

making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding;

Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding.

listening closely to wisdom and directing your heart to understanding;

Make your ear attentive to wisdom; Incline your heart to understanding.

So that you incline your ear to wisdom, And apply your heart to understanding;

So as to incline thine ear unto wisdom, And apply thy heart to understanding;

listening closely to wisdom and directing your heart to understanding;

So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom,[ and] apply thine heart to understanding;

by making your ear attentive to wisdom, and by turning your heart to understanding,

Apply your heart to instruction, and your ears to the words of knowledge.

Turn your ear, and listen to the words of the wise. Apply your heart to my teaching.For it is a pleasant thing if you keep them within you, if all of them are ready on your lips.I teach you today, even you, So that your trust may be in Yahweh.Haven’t I written to you thirty excellent things of counsel and knowledge,To teach you truth, reliable words, to give sound answers to the ones who sent you?

A man who isolates himself pursues selfishness, and defies all sound judgment.

So teach us to count our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

I have taken your testimonies as a heritage forever, for they are the joy of my heart.I have set my heart to perform your statutes forever, even to the end.

When I applied my heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done on the earth( even though eyes see no sleep day or night),

Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.

I turned around, and my heart sought to know and to search out, and to seek wisdom and the scheme of things, and to know that wickedness is stupidity, and that foolishness is madness.
