Anyone tormented by the guilt of murder will seek refuge in the grave; let no one hold them back.

Anyone troubled by the guilt of murder will seek to escape their guilt by death. No one should keep them from it.

If one is burdened with the blood of another, he will be a fugitive until death; let no one help him.

A murderer’s tormented conscience will drive him into the grave. Don’t protect him!

saying, I have sinned in that I betrayed innocent blood. But they said, What is that to us? see thou to it.And he cast down the pieces of silver into the sanctuary, and departed; and he went away and hanged himself.

And of Jezebel also spake Jehovah, saying, The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the rampart of Jezreel.

Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, saith Jehovah; and I will requite thee in this plat, saith Jehovah. Now therefore take and cast him into the plat of ground, according to the word of Jehovah.

And when he died, he said, Jehovah look upon it, and require it.And it came to pass at the end of the year, that the army of the Syrians came up against him: and they came to Judah and Jerusalem, and destroyed all the princes of the people from among the people, and sent all the spoil of them unto the king of Damascus.For the army of the Syrians came with a small company of men; and Jehovah delivered a very great host into their hand, because they had forsaken Jehovah, the God of their fathers. So they executed judgment upon Joash.And when they were departed from him( for they left him very sick), his own servants conspired against him for the blood of the sons of Jehoiada the priest, and slew him on his bed, and he died; and they buried him in the city of David, but they buried him not in the sepulchres of the kings.

And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith Jehovah, Hast thou killed, and also taken possession? And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith Jehovah, In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick thy blood, even thine.

And when the barbarians saw the venomous creature hanging from his hand, they said one to another, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped from the sea, yet Justice hath not suffered to live.
