These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart.And you shall repeat them diligently to your sons and speak of them when you sit in your house, when you walk on the road, when you lie down, and when you get up.You shall also tie them as a sign to your hand, and they shall be as frontlets on your forehead.You shall also write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction, And do not ignore your mother’s teaching;

Give me understanding, so that I may comply with Your Law And keep it with all my heart.

“ All the commandments that I am commanding you today you shall be careful to do, so that you may live and increase, and go in and take possession of the land which the Lord swore to give to your forefathers.

“ Only be careful for yourself and watch over your soul diligently, so that you do not forget the things which your eyes have seen and they do not depart from your heart all the days of your life; but make them known to your sons and your grandsons.

“ For this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord:“ I will put My law within them and write it on their heart; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Since you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being My priest. Since you have forgotten the Law of your God, I also will forget your children.

I will delight in Your commandments, Which I love.And I shall lift up my hands to Your commandments, Which I love; And I will meditate on Your statutes. Zayin

I will never forget Your precepts, For by them You have revived me.

in that I am commanding you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, so that you may live and become numerous, and that the Lord your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to take possession of it.But if your heart turns away and you will not obey, but allow yourself to be led astray and you worship other gods and serve them,I declare to you today that you will certainly perish. You will not prolong your days in the land where you are crossing the Jordan to enter and take possession of it.I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have placed before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants,by loving the Lord your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding close to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days, so that you may live in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”

I have treasured Your word in my heart, So that I may not sin against You.

I have wandered about like a lost sheep; search for Your servant, For I do not forget Your commandments.

Look at my affliction and rescue me, For I have not forgotten Your Law.

So be careful yourselves, that you do not forget the covenant of the Lord your God which He made with you, and make for yourselves a carved image in the form of anything against which the Lord your God has commanded you.

Otherwise they will drink and forget what is decreed, And pervert the rights of all the needy.

Pull yourself up! Pull yourself up! Arise, Jerusalem! You who have drunk from the Lord’s hand the cup of His anger; The chalice of staggering you have drunk to the dregs.
