Simon Peter answered Him,“ Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life.

Buy truth, and do not sell it, Get wisdom, instruction, and understanding.

For it is not a trivial matter for you; indeed it is your life. And by this word you will prolong your days in the land, which you are about to cross the Jordan to possess.”

They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

For wisdom is protection just as money is protection, But the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom keeps its possessors alive.

but examine everything; hold firmly to that which is good,

‘ I know where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is; and you hold firmly to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days of Antipas, My witness, My faithful one, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.

And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.

Now from that city many of the Samaritans believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified,“ He told me all the things that I have done.”So when the Samaritans came to Jesus, they were asking Him to stay with them; and He stayed there two days.Many more believed because of His word;and they were saying to the woman,“ It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves and know that this One truly is the Savior of the world.”

Then beginning with Moses and with all the Prophets, He explained to them the things written about Himself in all the Scriptures.And they approached the village where they were going, and He gave the impression that He was going farther.And so they strongly urged Him, saying,“ Stay with us, for it is getting toward evening, and the day is now nearly over.” So He went in to stay with them.

Then when he arrived and witnessed the grace of God, he rejoiced and began to encourage them all with resolute heart to remain true to the Lord;

Then he said,“ Let me go, for the dawn is breaking.” But he said,“ I will not let you go unless you bless me.”

Hardly had I left them When I found him whom my soul loves; I held on to him and would not let him go Until I had brought him to my mother’s house, And into the room of her who conceived me.”

And they will be life to your soul And adornment to your neck.
