Remove perverse speech from your mouth; keep devious talk far from your lips.

Put away from yourself a perverse mouth. Put corrupt lips far from you.

If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless.

So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls.

My advice is wholesome. There is nothing devious or crooked in it.

So get rid of all evil behavior. Be done with all deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and all unkind speech.

So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body.And“ don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry,for anger gives a foothold to the devil.If you are a thief, quit stealing. Instead, use your hands for good hard work, and then give generously to others in need.Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption.Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior.

What are worthless and wicked people like? They are constant liars,

All who fear the Lord will hate evil. Therefore, I hate pride and arrogance, corruption and perverse speech.

But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language.

Get rid of your sins, and leave all iniquity behind you.

These people always cause trouble. Their minds are corrupt, and they have turned their backs on the truth. To them, a show of godliness is just a way to become wealthy.

The crooked heart will not prosper; the lying tongue tumbles into trouble.

Put all your rebellion behind you, and find yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O people of Israel?
