and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.

“ As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.

Be strong and of good courage; do not fear nor be dismayed.Indeed I have taken much trouble to prepare for the house of the Lord one hundred thousand talents of gold and one million talents of silver, and bronze and iron beyond measure, for it is so abundant. I have prepared timber and stone also, and you may add to them.Moreover there are workmen with you in abundance: woodsmen and stonecutters, and all types of skillful men for every kind of work.Of gold and silver and bronze and iron there is no limit. Arise and begin working, and the Lord be with you.”

Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.

Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren,

According to the doings of the land of Egypt, where you dwelt, you shall not do; and according to the doings of the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you, you shall not do; nor shall you walk in their ordinances.You shall observe My judgments and keep My ordinances, to walk in them: I am the Lord your God.You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, which if a man does, he shall live by them: I am the Lord.
