My son, keep my words and store up my commands within you.

Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction, And do not ignore your mother’s teaching;

Blessed is the one who reads, and those who hear the words of the prophecy and keep the things which are written in it; for the time is near.

And he* said to me,“ Do not do that; I am a fellow servant of yours and of your brothers the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God!”

But He said,“ On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God and follow it.”

Jesus answered and said to him,“ If anyone loves Me, he will follow My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling with him.

Please receive instruction from His mouth, And put His words in your heart.

My son, if you will receive my words And treasure my commandments within you,Make your ear attentive to wisdom; Incline your heart to understanding.For if you cry out for insight, And raise your voice for understanding;If you seek her as silver And search for her as for hidden treasures;Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And discover the knowledge of God.For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity,

Remember the word that I said to you,‘ A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you as well; if they followed My word, they will follow yours also.

My son, do not forget my teaching, But have your heart comply with my commandments;

Wise people store up knowledge, But with the mouth of the foolish, ruin is at hand.

But the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word with a good and virtuous heart, and hold it firmly, and produce fruit with perseverance.

and the curse, if you do not listen to the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside from the way which I am commanding you today, by following other gods which you have not known.
