For many are the victims she has brought to ruin, And numerous are all those slaughtered by her.

要知道，被她刺透而倒下的人有许多，连无数强者都被她杀死；

因為，被她傷害仆倒的不少；被她殺戮的而且甚多。

因為她擊倒許多人，無數的人被她殺戮。

因為她擊倒許多人，無數的人被她殺戮。

因為她使許多人喪命，被她殺害的數目眾多。

因為她使許多人倒斃，被她殺害的實在無數。

因為她所擊倒而死的很多；她所殺戮的實在無數。

要知道，被她刺透而倒下的人有許多，連無數強者都被她殺死；

蓋彼所傷而仆者孔多、所殺者甚眾、

維彼淫婦、傷人孔多、殺人亦不少。

蓋被其傷仆者不少、被其殺害者甚眾、

Many are the victims she has brought down; her slain are a mighty throng.

She has brought down a lot of men. She has killed a huge crowd.

for many a victim has she laid low, and all her slain are a mighty throng.

For she has been the ruin of many; many men have been her victims.

For she has brought many down to death; her victims are countless.

For she has cast down many wounded, And all who were slain by her were strong men.

For she hath cast down many wounded: Yea, all her slain are a mighty host.

For she has brought many down to death; her victims are countless.

For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong[ men] have been slain by her.

for she has brought down many fatally wounded, and all those she has slain are many.

for she has thrown down many wounded. Yes, all her slain are a mighty army.

Did Solomon the king of Israel not sin regarding these things? Yet among the many nations there was no king like him, and he was loved by his God, and God made him king over all Israel; yet the foreign women caused even him to sin.

I am afraid that when I come again my God may humiliate me before you, and I may mourn over many of those who have sinned in the past and not repented of the impurity, sexual immorality, and indecent behavior which they have practiced.

Why have you despised the word of the Lord, by doing evil in His sight? You have struck and killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, you have taken his wife as your wife, and you have slaughtered him with the sword of the sons of Ammon.Now then, the sword shall never leave your house, because you have despised Me and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.’This is what the Lord says:‘ Behold, I am going to raise up evil against you from your own household; I will even take your wives before your eyes and give them to your companion, and he will sleep with your wives in broad daylight.

Nor are we to commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and twenty three thousand fell in one day.

He will find wounds and disgrace, And his shame will not be removed.

Now King Solomon loved many foreign women along with the daughter of Pharaoh: Moabite, Ammonite, Edomite, Sidonian, and Hittite women,from the nations of which the Lord had said to the sons of Israel,“ You shall not associate with them, nor shall they associate with you; they will certainly turn your heart away to follow their gods.” Solomon clung to these in love.

Beloved, I urge you as foreigners and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts, which wage war against the soul.

Now it happened that while there was war between the house of Saul and the house of David, Abner was strengthening himself in the house of Saul.And Saul had a concubine whose name was Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah; and Ish bosheth said to Abner,“ Why have you gone in to my father’s concubine?”Then Abner became very angry over Ish bosheth’s question and said,“ Am I a dog’s head that belongs to Judah? So when Abner returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside into the middle of the gate to speak with him privately, and there he struck him in the belly, so that he died on account of the blood of his brother Asahel.

Then the Philistines seized him and gouged out his eyes; and they brought him down to Gaza and restrained him with bronze chains, and he became a grinder in the prison.
