For wisdom is better than rubies; And all the things that may be desired are not to be compared unto it.

for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her.

Yea verily, and I count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but refuse, that I may gain Christ,and be found in him, not having a righteousness of mine own, even that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith:

There is gold, and abundance of rubies; But the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.

Get wisdom, get understanding; Forget not, neither decline from the words of my mouth;Forsake her not, and she will preserve thee; Love her, and she will keep thee.Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom; Yea, with all thy getting get understanding.
