To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.

To have respect for the Lord is to hate evil. I hate pride and bragging. I hate evil ways and twisted words.

The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.

All who fear the Lord will hate evil. Therefore, I hate pride and arrogance, corruption and perverse speech.

同樣，你們年輕的，當服從年長的。每個人當彼此以謙卑束腰，因為「神抵擋驕傲的人，賜恩典給謙卑的人。」

當使口中的狡詐離開你，使嘴上的邪僻遠離你。

連一切惡的樣式都要遠避。

不過神堅固的根基始終確立，上面有這樣的印記：「主認識那些屬於自己的人」還有「所有稱呼主名的人都要離開不義」。

卑劣的事，我不擺在眼前，背道者所做的，我都恨惡，不容它沾我身。

因此在一切事上，你所有的訓誡，我都視為合宜；我恨惡一切虛假的路。

卑劣的作惡者，憑狡詐的口行事；

破敗以先，必有驕傲；絆跌之前，靈裡高慢。

耶和華所恨惡的有六樣，連他心中所憎惡的有七樣：就是高傲的眼目、撒謊的舌頭、沾滿無辜人血的手、圖謀惡計的心、奔向惡事的腳、口吐謊言的假見證人，以及在兄弟間散布紛爭的人。

我藉著你的訓誡而有悟性，因此我恨惡一切虛謊的道。

愛，不要虛假；要厭棄惡、持守善；

因為你是不喜愛邪惡的神，罪惡不能與你同住。狂傲的人不能站立在你眼前，你恨惡所有作惡的人。

各人不要在心裡向鄰人謀劃惡事，不要喜愛起假誓，因為這一切都是我所恨惡的。』這是耶和華的宣告。」

耶和華雖然是至高的，卻看顧卑微的人；他從遠處就認出高傲的人。

義人的口，結出智慧的果實；荒謬的舌，必被剪除。
