By me kings reign and rulers issue decrees that are just;

By me kings rule. Leaders make laws that are fair.

By me kings reign, and rulers decree what is just;

Because of me, kings reign, and rulers make just decrees.

By me kings reign, And rulers decree justice.

By me kings reign, And rulers decree justice.

By me kings reign, And princes decree justice.

It is by me that kings reign and rulers enact just law;

Kings reign by means of me, and potentates decree righteousness;

By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.

Let everyone submit to the governing authorities, since there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are instituted by God.

He changes the times and seasons; he removes kings and establishes kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.

Jesus came near and said to them,“ All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.

And he has a name written on his robe and on his thigh: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

Then I saw heaven opened, and there was a white horse. Its rider is called Faithful and True, and with justice he judges and makes war.

All Israel heard about the judgment the king had given, and they stood in awe of the king because they saw that God’s wisdom was in him to carry out justice.

I will restore your judges to what they were at first, and your advisers to what they were at the start. Afterward you will be called the Righteous City, a Faithful Town.”

You will be driven away from people to live with the wild animals, and you will feed on grass like cattle for seven periods of time, until you acknowledge that the Most High is ruler over human kingdoms, and he gives them to anyone he wants.”

The LORD said to Samuel,“ How long are you going to mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and go. I am sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem because I have selected for myself a king from his sons.”

“ By my great strength and outstretched arm, I made the earth, and the people, and animals on the face of the earth. I give it to anyone I please.So now I have placed all these lands under the authority of my servant Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon. I have even given him the wild animals to serve him.All nations will serve him, his son, and his grandson until the time for his own land comes, and then many nations and great kings will enslave him.

When Samuel saw Saul, the LORD told him,“ Here is the man I told you about; he will govern my people.”

Indeed, a king will reign righteously, and rulers will rule justly.Each will be like a shelter from the wind, a refuge from the rain, like flowing streams in a dry land and the shade of a massive rock in an arid land.

God, give your justice to the king and your righteousness to the king’s son.He will judge your people with righteousness and your afflicted ones with justice.May the mountains bring well-being to the people and the hills, righteousness.May he vindicate the afflicted among the people, help the poor, and crush the oppressor.

So give your servant a receptive heart to judge your people and to discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of yours?”

I continued watching in the night visions, and suddenly one like a son of man was coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was escorted before him.He was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, so that those of every people, nation, and language should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will not be destroyed.

Blessed be the LORD your God! He delighted in you and put you on the throne of Israel, because of the LORD’s eternal love for Israel. He has made you king to carry out justice and righteousness.”

The mighty King loves justice. You have established fairness; you have administered justice and righteousness in Jacob.

In those days and at that time I will cause a Righteous Branch to sprout up for David, and he will administer justice and righteousness in the land.

And out of all my sons— for the LORD has given me many sons— he has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the LORD’s kingdom over Israel.

When Hiram heard Solomon’s words, he rejoiced greatly and said,“ Blessed be the LORD today! He has given David a wise son to be over this great people!”

Your Majesty, the Most High God gave sovereignty, greatness, glory, and majesty to your predecessor Nebuchadnezzar.Because of the greatness he gave him, all peoples, nations, and languages were terrified and fearful of him. He killed anyone he wanted and kept alive anyone he wanted; he exalted anyone he wanted and humbled anyone he wanted.But when his heart was exalted and his spirit became arrogant, he was deposed from his royal throne and his glory was taken from him.He was driven away from people, his mind was like an animal’s, he lived with the wild donkeys, he was fed grass like cattle, and his body was drenched with dew from the sky until he acknowledged that the Most High God is ruler over human kingdoms and sets anyone he wants over them.“ But you his successor, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, even though you knew all this.Instead, you have exalted yourself against the Lord of the heavens. The vessels from his house were brought to you, and as you and your nobles, wives, and concubines drank wine from them, you praised the gods made of silver and gold, bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see or hear or understand. But you have not glorified the God who holds your life-breath in his hand and who controls the whole course of your life.Therefore, he sent the hand, and this writing was inscribed.“ This is the writing that was inscribed: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, and PARSIN.This is the interpretation of the message:‘ Mene’ means that God has numbered the days of your kingdom and brought it to an end.‘ Tekel’ means that you have been weighed on the balance and found deficient.‘ Peres’ means that your kingdom has been divided and given to the Medes and Persians.”Then Belshazzar gave an order, and they clothed Daniel in purple, placed a gold chain around his neck, and issued a proclamation concerning him that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.That very night Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans was killed,and Darius the Mede received the kingdom at the age of sixty-two.
