Wisdom is the focus of the perceptive, but a fool’s eyes roam to the ends of the earth.

A discerning mind seeks knowledge, but the mouth of fools feeds on foolishness.

House of Jacob, should it be asked,“ Is the Spirit of the Lord impatient? Are these the things He does?” Don’t My words bring good to the one who walks uprightly?

Who is the man who fears the Lord? He will show him the way he should choose.He will live a good life, and his descendants will inherit the land.The secret counsel of the Lord is for those who fear Him, and He reveals His covenant to them.

Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him.

If anyone wants to do His will, he will understand whether the teaching is from God or if I am speaking on My own.

Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are always with me.I have more insight than all my teachers because Your decrees are my meditation.I understand more than the elders because I obey Your precepts.

For the discerning the path of life leads upward, so that he may avoid going down to Sheol.

One who isolates himself pursues selfish desires; he rebels against all sound judgment.A fool does not delight in understanding, but only wants to show off his opinions.

The mind of the discerning acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks it.

But the unbeliever does not welcome what comes from God’s Spirit, because it is foolishness to him; he is not able to understand it since it is evaluated spiritually.The spiritual person, however, can evaluate everything, yet he himself cannot be evaluated by anyone.
