And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner[ stone];In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we[ should go] unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.

But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God,[ which is] new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and[ I will write upon him] my new name.

And he made a porch of pillars; the length thereof[ was] fifty cubits, and the breadth thereof thirty cubits: and the porch[ was] before them: and the[ other] pillars and the thick beam[ were] before them.

But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

For this[ man] was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.For every house is builded by some[ man]; but he that built all things[ is] God.And Moses verily[ was] faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
