The Lord gave the command; a great company of women brought the good news:

Doesn’t Wisdom call out? Doesn’t Understanding make her voice heard?At the heights overlooking the road, at the crossroads, she takes her stand.Beside the gates at the entry to the city, at the main entrance, she cries out:

Wisdom calls out in the street; she raises her voice in the public squares.She cries out above the commotion; she speaks at the entrance of the city gates:“ How long, foolish ones, will you love ignorance? How long will you mockers enjoy mocking and you fools hate knowledge?If you respond to my warning, then I will pour out my spirit on you and teach you my words.

“ So the slave came back and reported these things to his master. Then in anger, the master of the house told his slave,‘ Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the city, and bring in here the poor, maimed, blind, and lame!’“‘ Master,’ the slave said,‘ what you ordered has been done, and there’s still room.’“ Then the master told the slave,‘ Go out into the highways and lanes and make them come in, so that my house may be filled.

At the time of the banquet, he sent his slave to tell those who were invited,‘ Come, because everything is now ready.’

On the last and most important day of the festival, Jesus stood up and cried out,“ If anyone is thirsty, he should come to Me and drink!

Because of this, the wisdom of God said,‘ I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they will kill and persecute,’

He sent out his slaves to summon those invited to the banquet, but they didn’t want to come.Again, he sent out other slaves, and said,‘ Tell those who are invited: Look, I’ve prepared my dinner; my oxen and fattened cattle have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’

“ I have spoken openly to the world,” Jesus answered him.“ I have always taught in the synagogue and in the temple complex, where all the Jews congregate, and I haven’t spoken anything in secret.

And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who announce the gospel of good things!

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, certain that God is appealing through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf,“ Be reconciled to God.”He made the One who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Therefore go to where the roads exit the city and invite everyone you find to the banquet.’
