Reverence for the Lord is pure, lasting forever. The laws of the Lord are true; each one is fair.

主之道理清淨、存至永遠、主之律例、極確實且至公義、

玉律豈有瑕。祇守心自怡。聖典何皎潔。悅目驚新奇。

The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the Lord are firm, and all of them are righteous.

The law that brings respect for the Lord is pure. It lasts forever. The commands the Lord gives are true. All of them are completely right.

the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether.

The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever; the ordinances of the LORD are reliable and altogether righteous.

The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true; they are righteous altogether.

The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring for ever: The ordinances of Jehovah are true, and righteous altogether.

The commands to fear the LORD are right and endure forever. The judgments given by the LORD are trustworthy and absolutely just.

The fear of Yahweh is clean, enduring forever. Yahweh’s ordinances are true, and righteous altogether.

Your justice is eternal, and your instructions are perfectly true.

But be sure to fear the Lord and faithfully serve him. Think of all the wonderful things he has done for you.

Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the Lord.

O Lord, you are righteous, and your regulations are fair.Your laws are perfect and completely trustworthy.

Come, my children, and listen to me, and I will teach you to fear the Lord.Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous?Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies!Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.

And what great nation has decrees and regulations as righteous and fair as this body of instructions that I am giving you today?

“ These are the regulations you must present to Israel.

But as soon as I leave you, the Spirit of the Lord will carry you away to who knows where. When Ahab comes and cannot find you, he will kill me. Yet I have been a true servant of the Lord all my life.

Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the ocean depths. You care for people and animals alike, O Lord.

Give your love of justice to the king, O God, and righteousness to the king’s son.Help him judge your people in the right way; let the poor always be treated fairly.

Yet they succeed in everything they do. They do not see your punishment awaiting them. They sneer at all their enemies.

Lord, we show our trust in you by obeying your laws; our heart’s desire is to glorify your name.

So Ahab summoned Obadiah, who was in charge of the palace.( Obadiah was a devoted follower of the Lord.Once when Jezebel had tried to kill all the Lord’s prophets, Obadiah had hidden 100 of them in two caves. He put fifty prophets in each cave and supplied them with food and water.)

“ Don’t lay a hand on the boy!” the angel said.“ Do not hurt him in any way, for now I know that you truly fear God. You have not withheld from me even your son, your only son.”

He will bless those who fear the Lord, both great and lowly.

Sin whispers to the wicked, deep within their hearts. They have no fear of God at all.

His judgments are true and just. He has punished the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her immorality. He has avenged the murder of his servants.”

On the third day Joseph said to them,“ I am a God fearing man. If you do as I say, you will live.

Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true wisdom. All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom. Praise him forever!Praise the Lord! How joyful are those who fear the Lord and delight in obeying his commands.Their children will be successful everywhere; an entire generation of godly people will be blessed.They themselves will be wealthy, and their good deeds will last forever.Light shines in the darkness for the godly. They are generous, compassionate, and righteous.Good comes to those who lend money generously and conduct their business fairly.Such people will not be overcome by evil. Those who are righteous will be long remembered.

I’ve promised it once, and I’ll promise it again: I will obey your righteous regulations.

And we know that God, in his justice, will punish anyone who does such things.

The former governors, in contrast, had laid heavy burdens on the people, demanding a daily ration of food and wine, besides forty pieces of silver. Even their assistants took advantage of the people. But because I feared God, I did not act that way.

I rise at midnight to thank you for your just regulations.

Help me abandon my shameful ways; for your regulations are good.

And I heard a voice from the altar, saying,“ Yes, O Lord God, the Almighty, your judgments are true and just.”

All who fear the Lord will hate evil. Therefore, I hate pride and arrogance, corruption and perverse speech.

As I learn your righteous regulations, I will thank you by living as I should!

They said,“ We were sent by Cornelius, a Roman officer. He is a devout and God fearing man, well respected by all the Jews. A holy angel instructed him to summon you to his house so that he can hear your message.”

Notice how God is both kind and severe. He is severe toward those who disobeyed, but kind to you if you continue to trust in his kindness. But if you stop trusting, you also will be cut off.

As the Scriptures say,“ No one is righteous— not even one.No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God.All have turned away; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one.”“ Their talk is foul, like the stench from an open grave. Their tongues are filled with lies.”“ Snake venom drips from their lips.”“ Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.”“ They rush to commit murder.Destruction and misery always follow them.They don’t know where to find peace.”“ They have no fear of God at all.”

I know, O Lord, that your regulations are fair; you disciplined me because I needed it.

He has revealed his words to Jacob, his decrees and regulations to Israel.

And they were singing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb:“ Great and marvelous are your works, O Lord God, the Almighty. Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations.
