You will make them turn their backs when you aim at them with drawn bow.

For you will put them to flight; you will aim at their faces with your bows.

For they will turn and run when they see your arrows aimed at them.

For you make them retreat when you shoot your arrows at them.

If anyone does not repent, God will sharpen His sword; He has strung His bow and made it ready.He has prepared His deadly weapons; He tips His arrows with fire.

You have made my enemies retreat before me; I annihilate those who hate me.

I was at ease, but He shattered me; He seized me by the scruff of the neck and smashed me to pieces. He set me up as His target;His archers surround me. He pierces my kidneys without mercy and pours my bile on the ground.

He strung His bow and set me as the target for His arrow.

Then my enemies will retreat on the day when I call. This I know: God is for me.

You make us retreat from the foe, and those who hate us have taken plunder for themselves.

When my enemies retreat, they stumble and perish before You.

If I have sinned, what have I done to You, Watcher of mankind? Why have You made me Your target, so that I have become a burden to You?

But God will shoot them with arrows; suddenly, they will be wounded.

He shot His arrows and scattered them; He hurled lightning bolts and routed them.
