因主震怒不過片時、主之恩惠、乃一生之久、夜雖哭泣、晨必歡呼、

蒙主煦育。可不頌美。勗哉諸聖。讚主莫已。

Go home, my people, and lock your doors! Hide yourselves for a little while until the Lord’s anger has passed.

For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!

Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.

God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

He will not constantly accuse us, nor remain angry forever.

You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.

I tell you the truth, you will weep and mourn over what is going to happen to me, but the world will rejoice. You will grieve, but your grief will suddenly turn to wonderful joy.It will be like a woman suffering the pains of labor. When her child is born, her anguish gives way to joy because she has brought a new baby into the world.So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again; then you will rejoice, and no one can rob you of that joy.

Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you!

But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress.

Now I am glad I sent it, not because it hurt you, but because the pain caused you to repent and change your ways. It was the kind of sorrow God wants his people to have, so you were not harmed by us in any way.For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death.

I am worn out from sobbing. All night I flood my bed with weeping, drenching it with my tears.My vision is blurred by grief; my eyes are worn out because of all my enemies.Go away, all you who do evil, for the Lord has heard my weeping.The Lord has heard my plea; the Lord will answer my prayer.

Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you.

“ Remember, O Lord, how I have always been faithful to you and have served you single mindedly, always doing what pleases you.” Then he broke down and wept bitterly.Then this message came to Isaiah from the Lord:“ Go back to Hezekiah and tell him,‘ This is what the Lord, the God of your ancestor David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will add fifteen years to your life,

God dwells in that city; it cannot be destroyed. From the very break of day, God will protect it.

How precious is your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings.You feed them from the abundance of your own house, letting them drink from your river of delights.For you are the fountain of life, the light by which we see.

But the love of the Lord remains forever with those who fear him. His salvation extends to the children’s children

This left Jacob all alone in the camp, and a man came and wrestled with him until the dawn began to break.

You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.My enemies will retreat when I call to you for help. This I know: God is on my side!I praise God for what he has promised; yes, I praise the Lord for what he has promised.I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me?

The high and lofty one who lives in eternity, the Holy One, says this:“ I live in the high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble. I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts.For I will not fight against you forever; I will not always be angry. If I were, all people would pass away— all the souls I have made.

Then the angel showed me a river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

The Spirit and the bride say,“ Come.” Let anyone who hears this say,“ Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life.

Oh, that we might know the Lord! Let us press on to know him. He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn or the coming of rains in early spring.”
