今也予心鬱紆、腹枴目眯、願耶和華矜憫為懷兮、

我遭急難、求主憐恤、我因憂慮、面目衰枯、身心亦復如是、

昔曾承主恩。綽綽有餘裕。何曾將吾身。委為敵人俎。

Be merciful to me, Lord, for I am in distress; my eyes grow weak with sorrow, my soul and body with grief.

Lord, have mercy on me. I’m in deep trouble. I’m so sad I can hardly see. My whole body grows weak with sadness.

My flesh and my heart fails, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

For this our heart is faint. For these things our eyes are dim.

I am poured out like water. All my bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax. It is melted within me.My strength is dried up like a potsherd. My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You have brought me into the dust of death.

For my soul is full of troubles. My life draws near to Sheol.I am counted among those who go down into the pit. I am like a man who has no help,set apart among the dead, like the slain who lie in the grave, whom you remember no more. They are cut off from your hand.

Our eyes still fail, looking in vain for our help. In our watching we have watched for a nation that could not save.

For my days consume away like smoke. My bones are burned as a torch.My heart is blighted like grass, and withered, for I forget to eat my bread.By reason of the voice of my groaning, my bones stick to my skin.

Yahweh, don’t rebuke me in your wrath, neither chasten me in your hot displeasure.For your arrows have pierced me, your hand presses hard on me.There is no soundness in my flesh because of your indignation, neither is there any health in my bones because of my sin.For my iniquities have gone over my head. As a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me.My wounds are loathsome and corrupt because of my foolishness.I am in pain and bowed down greatly. I go mourning all day long.For my waist is filled with burning. There is no soundness in my flesh.I am faint and severely bruised. I have groaned by reason of the anguish of my heart.Lord, all my desire is before you. My groaning is not hidden from you.My heart throbs. My strength fails me. As for the light of my eyes, it has also left me.

For all day long I have been plagued, and punished every morning.

Some sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron,

which my lips promised, and my mouth spoke, when I was in distress.

For our soul is bowed down to the dust. Our body clings to the earth.

My eye also is dim by reason of sorrow. All my members are as a shadow.

He is chastened also with pain on his bed, with continual strife in his bones,so that his life abhors bread, and his soul dainty food.His flesh is so consumed away that it can’t be seen. His bones that were not seen stick out.Yes, his soul draws near to the pit, and his life to the destroyers.
