Sins overwhelmed me, but you atoned for our transgressions.

When we were overwhelmed by sins, you forgave our transgressions.

When our sins became too much for us, you forgave our lawless acts.

When iniquities prevail against me, you atone for our transgressions.

Though we are overwhelmed by our sins, you forgive them all.

how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without defect to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

He touched my mouth with it, and said,“ Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away, and your sin forgiven.”

Help us, God of our salvation, for the glory of your name. Deliver us, and forgive our sins, for your name’s sake.

You have struck Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and have taken his wife to be your wife, and have slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.Now therefore the sword will never depart from your house, because you have despised me, and have taken Uriah the Hittite’s wife to be your wife.’“ This is what Yahweh says:‘ Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes, and give them to your neighbor, and he will lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.For you did this secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.’”David said to Nathan,“ I have sinned against Yahweh.” Nathan said to David,“ Yahweh also has put away your sin. You will not die.

Don’t rejoice against me, my enemy. When I fall, I will arise. When I sit in darkness, Yahweh will be a light to me.I will bear the indignation of Yahweh, because I have sinned against him, until he pleads my case, and executes judgment for me. He will bring me out to the light. I will see his righteousness.

“ Come now, and let’s reason together,” says Yahweh:“ Though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good of the land;

but I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity under the law of sin which is in my members.What a wretched man I am! Who will deliver me out of the body of this death?I thank God through Jesus Christ, our Lord! So then with the mind, I myself serve God’s law, but with the flesh, sin’s law.

Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean. Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
