You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so you have ordained it.

You take care of the land and water it. You make it able to grow many crops. You fill your streams with water. You do that to provide the people with grain. That’s what you have decided to do for the land.

Command those who are rich in this world’s goods not to be haughty or to set their hope on riches, which are uncertain, but on God who richly provides us with all things for our enjoyment.Tell them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, to be generous givers, sharing with others.

I will give you your rains in their time so that the land will give its yield and the trees of the field will produce their fruit.

Do any of the worthless idols of the nations cause rain to fall? Do the skies themselves send showers? Is it not you, O Lord our God, who does this? So we put our hopes in you because you alone do all this.”

For to the snow he says,‘ Fall to earth,’ and to the torrential rains,‘ Pour down.’He causes everyone to stop working, so that all people may know his work.The wild animals go to their lairs, and in their dens they remain.A tempest blows out from its chamber, icy cold from the driving winds.The breath of God produces ice, and the breadth of the waters freeze solid.He loads the clouds with moisture; he scatters his lightning through the clouds.The clouds go round in circles, wheeling about according to his plans, to carry out all that he commands them over the face of the whole inhabited world.Whether it is for punishment for his land, or whether it is for mercy, he causes it to find its mark.

He brings peace to your territory. He abundantly provides for you the best grain.
