“ To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands.

“ Here is what I command you to write to the church in Ephesus. Here are the words of Jesus, who holds the seven stars in his right hand. He also walks among the seven golden lampstands. He says,

他的右手拿着七星，有一把两刃的利剑从他口中吐出来；他的脸发光好像正午的烈日。

你所看见在我右手中的七星和七个金灯台的奥秘就是这样：七星是七个教会的使者，七灯台是七个教会。”

说：“你所看见的，要写在书上，也要寄给以弗所、士每拿、别迦摩、推雅推拉、撒狄、非拉铁非、老底嘉七个教会。”我转过身来要看看那跟我说话的声音是谁发的；一转过来，就看见七个金灯台。灯台中间有一位好像人子的，身上穿着直垂到脚的长衣，胸间束着金带。

“你要写信给在撒狄教会的使者，说：‘那有神七灵和七星的这样说：我知道你的行为，你有名声，说你是活着的，其实你是死的。

“你要写信给在别迦摩教会的使者，说：‘那有一把两刃利剑的，这样说：

“你要写信给在非拉铁非教会的使者，说：‘那圣洁的、真实的，拿着大卫的钥匙，开了就没有人能关，关了就没有人能开的（“拿着大卫的钥匙……没有人能开的”引自赛22:22），这样说：

“你要写信给在推雅推拉教会的使者，说：‘神的儿子，那眼睛像火焰、两脚像光铜的，这样说：

“你要写信给在老底嘉教会的使者，说：‘那位阿们的，忠信真实的见证人，神创造万有的根源，这样说：

“你要写信给在士每拿教会的使者，说：‘那首先的、末后的、曾经死去而又活过来的，这样说：

因为无论在哪里，有两三个人奉我的名聚会，我就在他们中间。”

我吩咐你们的一切，都要教导他们遵守。这样，我就常常与你们同在，直到这世代的终结。”

第三位天使吹号，就有一颗燃烧着的大星，好像火把一样，从天上落下来，落在江河的三分之一上，和众水的泉源上。这星名叫“苦堇”。众水的三分之一变为“苦堇”，因水变苦，就有许多人因为这水而死了。第四位天使吹号，太阳的三分之一、月亮的三分之一、星辰的三分之一，就都受到击打，以致日月星的三分之一都变黑了，白天的三分之一没有光，夜晚也是这样。

你曾在伊甸、神的园中，有各样的宝石作你的衣服，就是红宝石、黄玉、金钢石、水苍玉、红玛瑙、碧玉、蓝宝石、绿宝石和翡翠；宝石座是用金制造的，这些都是在你被造的日子就预备好了的。你是护卫宝座的、受膏的基路伯；我安置你在神的圣山上，你在闪耀如火的宝石中间行走。

那时，天上出现了一个奇伟的景象：有一个妇人，身披太阳，脚踏月亮，头戴十二颗星的冠冕。

约翰是一盏点亮的灯，你们情愿暂时在他的光中欢乐。
