I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.

“ I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God,“ who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

But a time is coming, and even now has arrived, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.

and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.”And He who sits on the throne said,“ Behold, I am making all things new.” And He* said,“ Write, for these words are faithful and true.”

But who is able to build a house for Him, since the heavens and the highest heavens cannot contain Him? And who am I, that I should build a house for Him, except to burn incense before Him?

“ But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain You, how much less this house which I have built!

And the four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within; and day and night they do not cease to say,“ Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come.”

saying,“ We give You thanks, Lord God, the Almighty, the One who is and who was, because You have taken Your great power and have begun to reign.

Jesus* said to her,“ Believe Me, woman, that a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.

And I heard the altar saying,“ Yes, Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments.”

Jesus answered them,“ Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”The Jews then said,“ It took forty six years to build this temple, and yet You will raise it up in three days?”But He was speaking about the temple of His body.

And I saw between the throne( with the four living creatures) and the elders a Lamb standing, as if slaughtered, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him,

For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form,

“ But will God really dwell with mankind on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain You; how much less this house which I have built!

And they* sang the song of Moses, the bond servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying,“ Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God, the Almighty; Righteous and true are Your ways, King of the nations!

I and the Father are one.”

Now even the first covenant had regulations for divine worship and the earthly sanctuary.For a tabernacle was equipped, the outer sanctuary, in which were the lampstand, the table, and the sacred bread; this is called the Holy Place.Behind the second veil there was a tabernacle which is called the Most Holy Place,having a golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant covered on all sides with gold, in which was a golden jar holding the manna, Aaron’s staff which budded, and the tablets of the covenant;and above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the atoning cover; but about these things we cannot now speak in detail.Now when these things have been so prepared, the priests are continually entering the outer tabernacle, performing the divine worship,but into the second, only the high priest enters once a year, not without taking blood which he offers for himself and for the sins of the people committed in ignorance.The Holy Spirit is signifying this, that the way into the holy place has not yet been disclosed while the outer tabernacle is still standing,which is a symbol for the present time. Accordingly both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make the worshiper perfect in conscience,since they relate only to food, drink, and various washings, regulations for the body imposed until a time of reformation.But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things having come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made by hands, that is, not of this creation;and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all time, having obtained eternal redemption.

This is what the Lord says:“ Heaven is My throne and the earth is the footstool for My feet. Where then is a house you could build for Me? And where is a place that I may rest?

From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty.

for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the entire world, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty.
