爾所受所聞者、當記憶謹守、亦當悔改、如爾不警醒、我必忽臨爾如盜之至、爾不能知我何時臨爾、

應回憶所受所聞之教義拳拳服膺、而痛悔前失。如再不醒寤、吾必襲爾、猶不速之客突如其來、爾固無從逆知其時刻也。

所以你應當記住你是從哪裡跌落的，應當悔改，應當行你起初所做的事！否則我就要來到你那裡；如果你不悔改，我就要把你的燈臺從原處挪去。

因為你們自己明確地知道，主的日子來臨，就像夜裡的賊來臨那樣。

不過，主的日子要來臨，就像賊來臨那樣。在那日，諸天要轟然一聲地消逝，天體將被火焚燒而廢除，地和地上的作為也都將被暴露出來。

所以你們要警醒，因為你們不知道你們的主哪一天回來。不過你們應當知道這一點：一家的主人如果知道賊什麼時刻來，他就會警醒，不讓他的房子被人鑽進。

不過你們應當知道這一點：一家的主人如果知道賊什麼時候來，就不會讓他的房子被人鑽進。你們也應當做好準備，因為在你們意想不到的時候，人子就來了。」

「看哪，我要來臨，就像賊來臨那樣！那警醒並保持衣著在身，免得赤身行走被人看見他羞處的，這樣的人是蒙福的。」

各位蒙愛的人哪，這已經是我寫給你們的第二封信。在這兩封信中，我都用提醒的話來激發你們純潔的意念，

不過弟兄們，你們不是在黑暗裡，以致那日子像賊一樣抓住你們。因為你們都是光明的兒女，白晝的兒女。我們不屬於黑夜，也不屬於黑暗。由此可見，我們不要像其他人那樣睡著了，而要警醒、謹慎。

「所以你們要警醒，因為你們不知道那日子和那時刻。

哦，提摩太呀！你要保守那所受的託付，避開那些不敬神的空談和假冒知識之名的反對論。

因此，我們必須更加留心所聽過的事，免得隨流漂去。

不過你們應當持守你們所擁有的，直到我來。

你們要當心，要警醒；因為你們不知道那時刻是什麼時候。

凡是我所愛的，我都責備、管教。所以你應當熱心，應當悔改。

免得他忽然回來，看見你們在睡覺。

我曾給她時間，好讓她悔改，她卻不肯悔改離開自己的淫亂。看哪，我要把她扔在痛苦的床上。那些與她通姦的人，如果不悔改離開她的行為，我也要把他們扔在大患難中。

你要藉著在基督耶穌裡的信和愛，把你從我所聽到的健全話語，做為規範好好持守。

我認為，只要我還在這帳篷裡，就理當用提醒的話來激發你們，

我快要來了！你應當持守你所擁有的，免得有人拿走你的冠冕。
