猶大對自己的兄弟西緬說：“請你與我一同上我抽籤所得的地業去，我們好與迦南人交戰；以後我也與你一同到你抽籤所得的地業去。”於是西緬與他一同去了。

西緬子孫的後代，照著宗族、父家，根據人名數目，按著人口，二十歲及以上，能出去打仗的男丁，都登記了；

她又懷孕，生了一個兒子，就說：“這一次，我的丈夫要依戀我了，因為我已經給他生了三個兒子。”因此給孩子起名叫利未。

利亞說：“神給了我酬報，因為我把我的婢女給了我的丈夫。”於是給孩子起名叫以薩迦。

西緬和利未是兄弟；他們的刀劍是強暴的武器。

為西緬，就是為西緬支派，按著家族抽出第二籤；他們的產業是在猶大人的產業中間。

為以薩迦，就是為以薩迦人，按著家族抽出第四籤。

猶大把自己的驢駒拴在葡萄樹旁，把自己的小驢繫在上等的葡萄樹旁；他在葡萄酒中洗淨自己的衣服，在血紅的葡萄汁中洗衣袍。
