But as to Israel he saith, All the day long did I spread out my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.

至於以色列人，他說：「我整天伸手招呼那悖逆頂嘴的百姓。」

論到以色列呢、他卻說：『我向悖逆頂撞的子民、整天伸開手來招呼呢！』

但是關於以色列人，他卻說：「我整天向那悖逆、頂嘴的子民伸出雙手。」

惟指以色列民、則曰、我終日舉手、招悖逆有違言之民矣、

其言以色列人曰、我終日舉手、勸不信非我之民矣、

其言言或作語以色列、則曰、我終日伸手、招不信服而違逆之民、

而於義塞人則曰：『我終日舉手以招斯民、而斯民頑強、不肯回頭。』

But concerning Israel he says,“ All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and obstinate people.”

But Isaiah also speaks about what God says concerning Israel. God said,“ All day long I have held out my hands. I have held them out to a stubborn people who do not obey me.”( Isaiah 65:2)

But of Israel he says,“ All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.”

But regarding Israel, God said,“ All day long I opened my arms to them, but they were disobedient and rebellious.”

But to Israel he says, All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and defiant people.

But as for Israel, He says,“ I have spread out My hands all day long to a disobedient and obstinate people.”

But to Israel he says:“ All day long I have stretched out My hands To a disobedient and contrary people.”

But to Israel he says: All day long I have spread out My hands to a disobedient and defiant people.

But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.

But about Israel he says,“ All day long I held out my hands to this disobedient and stubborn people!”

But about Israel he says,“ All day long I stretched out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.”

I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, that walk in a way that is not good, after their own thoughts;a people that provoke me to my face continually, sacrificing in gardens, and burning incense upon bricks;that sit among the graves, and lodge in the secret places; that eat swine’s flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;that say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me, for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day.

I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me.

For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that was a householder, who went out early in the morning to hire laborers into his vineyard.And when he had agreed with the laborers for a shilling a day, he sent them into his vineyard.And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing in the marketplace idle;and to them he said, Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.Again he went out about the sixth and the ninth hour, and did likewise.And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing; and he saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard.And when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the laborers, and pay them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a shilling.And when the first came, they supposed that they would receive more; and they likewise received every man a shilling.And when they received it, they murmured against the householder,saying, These last have spent but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, who have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat.But he answered and said to one of them, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a shilling?Take up that which is thine, and go thy way; it is my will to give unto this last, even as unto thee.Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? or is thine eye evil, because I am good?

forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they may be saved; to fill up their sins always: but the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.

For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against Jehovah; and how much more after my death?

Because I have called, and ye have refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man hath regarded;

And Jehovah said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee; for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not be king over them.According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, in that they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee.

Hear another parable: There was a man that was a householder, who planted a vineyard, and set a hedge about it, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into another country.And when the season of the fruits drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, to receive his fruits.And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them in like manner.But afterward he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.But the husbandmen, when they saw the son, said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and take his inheritance.And they took him, and cast him forth out of the vineyard, and killed him.When therefore the lord of the vineyard shall come, what will he do unto those husbandmen?They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those miserable men, and will let out the vineyard unto other husbandmen, who shall render him the fruits in their seasons.Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, The same was made the head of the corner; This was from the Lord, And it is marvellous in our eyes?Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken away from you, and shall be given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

And Paul and Barnabas spake out boldly, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first be spoken to you. Seeing ye thrust it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee for a light of the Gentiles, That thou shouldest be for salvation unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Nevertheless they were disobedient, and rebelled against thee, and cast thy law behind their back, and slew thy prophets that testified against them to turn them again unto thee, and they wrought great provocations.

and, A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence; for they stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate.But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense unto other gods.Wherefore my wrath and mine anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate, as it is this day.

and sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the marriage feast: and they would not come.Again he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them that are bidden, Behold, I have made ready my dinner; my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come to the marriage feast.But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his merchandise;and the rest laid hold on his servants, and treated them shamefully, and killed them.But the king was wroth; and he sent his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned their city.

Furthermore Jehovah spake unto me, saying, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:

Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Spirit: as your fathers did, so do ye.Which of the prophets did not your fathers persecute? and they killed them that showed before of the coming of the Righteous One; of whom ye have now become betrayers and murderers;

and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name unto all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

And Jehovah hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them,( but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear),

Therefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: some of them shall ye kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city:that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of Abel the righteous unto the blood of Zachariah son of Barachiah, whom ye slew between the sanctuary and the altar.Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killeth the prophets, and stoneth them that are sent unto her! how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
