Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.

do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you.

So don’t think you are better than the other branches. Remember, you don’t give life to the root. The root gives life to you.

But you must not brag about being grafted in to replace the branches that were broken off. You are just a branch, not the root.

Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:

Thus saith the LORD of hosts;[ It shall] yet[ come to pass], that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities:And the inhabitants of one[ city] shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also.Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD.Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days[ it shall come to pass], that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard[ that] God[ is] with you.

And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men[ are], extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.

And if ye[ be] Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
