as it is written:“ God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that could not see and ears that could not hear, to this very day.”

It is written,“ God made it hard for them to understand. He gave them eyes that could not see. He gave them ears that could not hear. And they are still like that today.”( Deuteronomy 29:4; Isaiah 29:10)

但耶和华到今日还没有使你们心能明白，眼能看见，耳能听见。

因为耶和华将沉睡的灵浇灌你们，遮住你们的眼，眼就是先知，覆盖你们的头，头就是先见。

但他们的心地刚硬，直到今日诵读旧约的时候，这同样的面纱还没有揭去；因为这面纱在基督里才被废去。然而直到今日，每逢诵读摩西书的时候，面纱还在他们心上。

我之所以用比喻对他们讲，是因为他们看却看不清，听却听不见，也不明白。在他们身上，正应验了以赛亚的预言：‘你们听了又听，却不明白，看了又看，却看不清。

“人子啊，你住在悖逆之家中；他们有眼可看却看不见，有耳可听却听不到，因为他们是悖逆之家。

“愚昧无知的百姓啊，你们有眼不看，有耳不听，现在当听这话。

这样，这些国家又惧怕耶和华，又事奉他们的偶像。他们子子孙孙也都照样行，效法他们的祖宗，直到今日。

他说：‘你去对这百姓说：你们听了又听，却不明白；看了又看，却看不清。

耶稣对他们说：“神国的奥秘只让你们知道，若是对外人讲，凡事就用比喻，要他们看了又看，却看不清，听了又听，却不明白，免得他们回转过来，获得赦免。”

他说：“神国的奥秘只让你们知道，至于别人，就用比喻，要他们看也看不见，听也不明白。”

他说：“你去告诉这百姓说：‘你们听了又听，却不明白；看了又看，却不晓得。’

直到如今仍照先前的风俗去行。他们不敬畏耶和华，不遵守耶和华吩咐雅各后裔的律例、典章、律法、诫命；雅各就是从前耶和华起名叫以色列的。
