Epaphras, who is one of your own, a bond servant of Christ Jesus, sends you his greetings, always striving earnestly for you in his prayers, that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God.

“ When you enter the land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to imitate the detestable things of those nations.There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, a soothsayer, one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer,or one who casts a spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who consults the dead.For whoever does these things is detestable to the Lord; and because of these detestable things the Lord your God is going to drive them out before you.You are to be blameless before the Lord your God.For these nations, which you are going to dispossess, listen to soothsayers and diviners, but as for you, the Lord your God has not allowed you to do so.

For I joyfully agree with the law of God in the inner person,

Do not be mismatched with unbelievers; for what do righteousness and lawlessness share together, or what does light have in common with darkness?Or what harmony does Christ have with Belial, or what does a believer share with an unbeliever?Or what agreement does the temple of God have with idols? For we know that the Law is spiritual, but I am fleshly, sold into bondage to sin.

How sweet are Your words to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

You shall not follow the crowd in doing evil, nor shall you testify in a dispute so as to join together with a crowd in order to pervert justice;
