In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you.

按着所得的恩典，我们各有不同的恩赐：或说预言，要按着信心的程度说预言；

彼此皆屬肢體、相需而成；而所受之恩寵才賦、亦各有不同也。

We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith;

We all have gifts. They differ according to the grace God has given to each of us. Do you have the gift of prophecy? Then use it according to the faith you have.

Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith;

According to the grace given to us, we have different gifts: If prophecy, use it according to the proportion of one’s faith;

However, since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to use them properly: if prophecy, in proportion to one’s faith;

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith;

And having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of our faith;

According to the grace given to us, we have different gifts: If prophecy, use it according to the standard of one’s faith;

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy,[ let us prophesy] according to the proportion of faith;

And we have different gifts according to the grace given to us. If the gift is prophecy, that individual must use it in proportion to his faith.

having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us: if prophecy, let’s prophesy according to the proportion of our faith;

But I wish everyone were single, just as I am. Yet each person has a special gift from God, of one kind or another.

God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.

Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.

Here are some of the parts God has appointed for the church: first are apostles, second are prophets, third are teachers, then those who do miracles, those who have the gift of healing, those who can help others, those who have the gift of leadership, those who speak in unknown languages.Are we all apostles? Are we all prophets? Are we all teachers? Do we all have the power to do miracles?Do we all have the gift of healing? Do we all have the ability to speak in unknown languages? Do we all have the ability to interpret unknown languages? Of course not!So you should earnestly desire the most helpful gifts. But now let me show you a way of life that is best of all.

Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.

There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all.There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord.God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge.The same Spirit gives great faith to another, and to someone else the one Spirit gives the gift of healing.He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said.It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have.

But one who prophesies strengthens others, encourages them, and comforts them.A person who speaks in tongues is strengthened personally, but one who speaks a word of prophecy strengthens the entire church.I wish you could all speak in tongues, but even more I wish you could all prophesy. For prophecy is greater than speaking in tongues, unless someone interprets what you are saying so that the whole church will be strengthened.

If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing.

For I long to visit you so I can bring you some spiritual gift that will help you grow strong in the Lord.

Among the prophets and teachers of the church at Antioch of Syria were Barnabas, Simeon( called“ the black man”), Lucius( from Cyrene), Manaen( the childhood companion of King Herod Antipas), and Saul.

Dear brothers and sisters, I have used Apollos and myself to illustrate what I’ve been saying. If you pay attention to what I have quoted from the Scriptures, you won’t be proud of one of your leaders at the expense of another.For what gives you the right to make such a judgment? What do you have that God hasn’t given you? And if everything you have is from God, why boast as though it were not a gift?

Through him, God has enriched your church in every way— with all of your eloquent words and all of your knowledge.This confirms that what I told you about Christ is true.Now you have every spiritual gift you need as you eagerly wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Let love be your highest goal! But you should also desire the special abilities the Spirit gives— especially the ability to prophesy.

Then Judas and Silas, both being prophets, spoke at length to the believers, encouraging and strengthening their faith.

Let all who are spiritually mature agree on these things. If you disagree on some point, I believe God will make it plain to you.

Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. And give according to what you have, not what you don’t have.

In this way, all who prophesy will have a turn to speak, one after the other, so that everyone will learn and be encouraged.Remember that people who prophesy are in control of their spirit and can take turns.

This is what God in his wisdom said about you:‘ I will send prophets and apostles to them, but they will kill some and persecute the others.’

God did not reveal it to previous generations, but now by his Spirit he has revealed it to his holy apostles and prophets.

“ Therefore, I am sending you prophets and wise men and teachers of religious law. But you will kill some by crucifixion, and you will flog others with whips in your synagogues, chasing them from city to city.

Let two or three people prophesy, and let the others evaluate what is said.

Do not scoff at prophecies,

But if all of you are prophesying, and unbelievers or people who don’t understand these things come into your meeting, they will be convicted of sin and judged by what you say.

Meanwhile, a Jew named Apollos, an eloquent speaker who knew the Scriptures well, had arrived in Ephesus from Alexandria in Egypt.He had been taught the way of the Lord, and he taught others about Jesus with an enthusiastic spirit and with accuracy. However, he knew only about John’s baptism.When Priscilla and Aquila heard him preaching boldly in the synagogue, they took him aside and explained the way of God even more accurately.Apollos had been thinking about going to Achaia, and the brothers and sisters in Ephesus encouraged him to go. They wrote to the believers in Achaia, asking them to welcome him. When he arrived there, he proved to be of great benefit to those who, by God’s grace, had believed.He refuted the Jews with powerful arguments in public debate. Using the Scriptures, he explained to them that Jesus was the Messiah.

He had four unmarried daughters who had the gift of prophecy.

‘ In the last days,’ God says,‘ I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.

During this time some prophets traveled from Jerusalem to Antioch.One of them named Agabus stood up in one of the meetings and predicted by the Spirit that a great famine was coming upon the entire Roman world.( This was fulfilled during the reign of Claudius.)
