兄弟乎、我固深知爾等富於道德、深於智慧、必能互相夾持規勸也。

I myself am convinced, my brothers and sisters, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with knowledge and competent to instruct one another.

My brothers and sisters, I am sure that you are full of goodness. You are filled with knowledge and able to teach one another.

I myself am satisfied about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able to instruct one another.

I am fully convinced, my dear brothers and sisters, that you are full of goodness. You know these things so well you can teach each other all about them.

所以你們雖已知道這些事，並在已有的真理上得到堅固，我還要時常提醒你們。

論到祭偶像之物、我們曉得「我們都有知識」。但知識能自吹自大，惟獨愛能建立人。

但這種知識不都在眾人心裏。有人因了拜偶像的習慣力存到現在，喫東西還像喫祭偶像之物一樣；他們的良知既然軟弱，就被沾染了污穢。

倘若有人見你這「有知識的」在偶像廟裏坐席，他的良知若是軟弱，豈不是要「被建立起來！」去喫祭偶像之物麼？

勸老年婦人也要這樣：在行動舉止上要有聖役上的恭敬，不說讒言，也不做酒奴，要用好榜樣教導人，好修練年輕婦人愛丈夫、愛兒女、

但你們呢、親愛的，你們要在你們至聖的信仰上建立自己，依聖靈而禱告，保守你們自己在上帝愛中，期望着我們主耶穌基督的憐恤、來得永生。有些人存疑心，你們要憐恤；要拯救、從火中攫出；有些人、你們要存着畏懼的心去憐恤；連那由肉體沾污的裏衣、你們也要恨惡。

也是他把你們受聖靈感動的愛告訴我們的。為這緣故、我們自從聽見的日子起、就為你們不停地禱告祈求，願你們對他的旨意得到充滿的認識，有全備屬靈的智慧和領悟，行事為人對得起主，凡事讓他喜歡，在一切善行上結果子，在認識上帝上增長着，

以時間論，你們本該做教師了，如今竟再需要人將上帝神諭開端之要綱教給你們，而你們卻成了需要奶子而不能喫硬食物的了！

我記得那在你心裏的無偽之信，就是先存在你外祖母羅以和你母親友尼基心裏的，我深信也存在你心裏。

我們應當留心思想要怎樣彼此激發愛心與好行為；不要乘危離棄我們的聚會，像有些人慣於這樣；倒要彼此勸勉；見那日子臨近，更要如此。

有人藉着靈、稟受智慧的話；另有人依這同一的靈稟受知識的話；

（光的果子是在於一切的良善、正義、和真誠）。

正因為這個緣故、你們這方面也要供出十二分的熱切來：要在你們的信心上加以供應美德，在美德上加以供應知識，在知識上加以供應節制，在節制上加以供應堅忍，在堅忍上加以供應虔敬，在虔敬上加以供應弟兄們之相愛，在弟兄們之相愛上加以供應愛全人類的心。因為你們若有這幾樣、並且增多着，就會使你們在認識我們的主耶穌基督上、不至於無能而不結果子了。

假使我有神言傳講的才能，又明白一切奧祕、一切知識；假使我有全備的信、能夠移山，卻沒有愛，我就算不了甚麼。

然而親愛的，關於你們的事、我們雖這樣說，卻還深信你們有較好的表現、能引致你們之得救。

我為你們眾人存着這個意念、原是正當的，因為我把你們放在心上，不但在受捆鎖之中、而且在辯護和證實福音的時候、你們眾人在恩惠上都和我一同有分。

故此你們要互相鼓勵，彼此建立，正如你們素常所行的。

弟兄們，我們勸你們、對游手好閒的人要勸戒，對灰心的人要撫慰，對軟弱的人要扶持，對眾人要恆忍。

我深信你必聽從，才寫信給你，知道你所要行的、必過於我所說的。

充滿了那藉着耶穌基督而有的仁義果子，使上帝得到榮耀與稱讚。

要讓基督的話豐豐富富地住在你們裏面，用各樣智慧彼此教導勸戒，以「詩篇」、頌詞、靈歌、帶着感恩的情調、用心詠讚上帝。

因為你們在他裏面、對於一切口才、一切知識、各方面都得富足——
