天主所預知者、則預定肖其子之狀、使彼為眾子中之長子、

如此之人、亦即天主依其聖意而見召者也。蓋天主所預寵者、乃預簡之、俾克肖其聖子、欲使其聖子成為眾子中之冢息耳。

For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

God planned that those he had chosen would become like his Son. In that way, Christ will be the first and most honored among many brothers and sisters.

雖然、上帝之道、其址鞏固、有印誌云、主知厥民、又云、呼基督名者、當遠諸惡、

在昔父上帝、預知簡爾、蒙神成聖、得耶穌基督灑血、使爾信從、願恩寵平康、錫爾不匱、

所言者、上帝秘奧之智、古昔上帝所預定榮我者、

今我法在地者之狀、亦將效在天者之狀焉、

而以大榮示我儕蒙召者、

良朋乎、今我儕為上帝子、末路若何、未能逆睹、所可知者、主顯著時、我見而克肖之、

彼象無形之上帝、生於萬物先、萬物以之而造、不論在天在地、有形無形、有位執政權力者、皆以之造、而歸向之、上帝之子先萬物、萬物以之恆存、會猶人身、彼乃元首、其甦為諸死者始、以為萬物倡、

上帝所預知之民、不拒之、豈不知經載以利亞龥上帝、訟以色列人云、

吾面去帕、得觀主榮、如鑑照我、主之神化我、效主像、久而彌光、

爾賜我之榮、我已賜之、欲眾為一、如父與我然、我在彼、爾在我、使眾合一、則世知爾遣我、亦愛彼如愛我然、

既有大力、服萬物歸己、必能化我卑陋之身、效厥榮顯之體、

彼不從世、如我不從世、

效上帝以義以潔所造之新人、

耶和華曰、我知爾有素、施恩於爾、故爾所求者、我必為之。

摩西籲耶和華曰、爾使我導斯民、將遣誰偕我往、爾未嘗告我、惟爾曾曰、我知爾有素、施爾以恩。

凡遵我天父旨者、即我兄弟姊妹及母也、

上帝對何天使言曰、爾乃我子、今日生爾、又曰、吾必為其父、彼必為我子、迨上帝使冢子入世、則命天使曰、悉當拜之、

暨為死更生者之始、冠百王而立極、作真實無妄之證耶穌基督、賜爾恩寵平康、彼愛我、流厥血、滌除我罪、以我為王為祭司、事父上帝、願榮華權力歸之、世世靡暨、

耶和華兮、作善者悅納、不善者喪亡。

我曾以爾名、示而又示之、使爾愛我之愛及乎彼、我亦在彼焉、

勿圖情欲、以任所嗜、惟主耶穌基督是佩是服、

耶穌曰、我未升見父、勿援止我、往告我兄弟、曰、我升見我父、即爾父、我上帝、即爾上帝、

我為彼作聖、使彼以真理作聖、○

潔之者與受潔者、同出於一、故視若兄弟、不以為恥、其言曰、吾播父名於兄弟間、頌爾於會中、又曰、吾必賴父、又曰、吾與上帝所賜之子、俱在乎此、子乃血氣之屬、主亦血氣之屬、欲以其死使魔鬼無權、不得逞其力以傷人、是使平生畏死而屈服者、無不解釋也、

我將明告之曰作不善者、吾未嘗識爾、其離我去矣、○

我必立之為冢子、高於天下列王兮、

王必謂之曰、我誠告爾、即行之於我兄弟至微之一、即行之於我也、○
