昔我判海為二、使民過之、後必使溝渠盡涸、翦亞述之驕心、毀埃及之鈞衡、

主使民由苦海而過、或作主使民辛苦過海主必擊海之波濤、使河河即伊及之尼羅河之一切深處盡涸、亞述驕傲必降、伊及權勢必除、

They will pass through the sea of trouble; the surging sea will be subdued and all the depths of the Nile will dry up. Assyria’s pride will be brought down and Egypt’s scepter will pass away.

They will pass through a sea of trouble. The stormy sea will calm down. All the deep places in the Nile River will dry up. Assyria’s pride will be brought down. Egypt’s right to rule will disappear.

I will bring back the captives of Egypt and cause them to return to the land of Pathros, to the land of their origin, and there they shall be a lowly kingdom.It shall be the lowliest of kingdoms; it shall never again exalt itself above the nations, for I will diminish them so that they will not rule over the nations anymore.No longer shall it be the confidence of the house of Israel, but will remind them of their iniquity when they turned to follow them. Then they shall know that I am the Lord God.”’”

And He will stretch out His hand against the north, Destroy Assyria, And make Nineveh a desolation, As dry as the wilderness.

What ails you, O sea, that you fled? O Jordan, that you turned back?

For You, O God, have tested us; You have refined us as silver is refined.You brought us into the net; You laid affliction on our backs.You have caused men to ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water; But You brought us out to rich fulfillment.

Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared.

The waters saw You, O God; The waters saw You, they were afraid; The depths also trembled.The clouds poured out water; The skies sent out a sound; Your arrows also flashed about.The voice of Your thunder was in the whirlwind; The lightnings lit up the world; The earth trembled and shook.Your way was in the sea, Your path in the great waters, And Your footsteps were not known.You led Your people like a flock By the hand of Moses and Aaron.
