“ City of Zion, be full of joy! People of Jerusalem, shout! See, your king comes to you. He always does what is right. He has won the victory. He is humble and riding on a donkey. He is sitting on a donkey’s colt.

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

Sing for joy, Daughter Zion; shout loudly, Israel! Be glad and celebrate with all your heart, Daughter Jerusalem!The LORD has removed your punishment; he has turned back your enemy. The King of Israel, the LORD, is among you; you need no longer fear harm.

This took place so that what was spoken through the prophet might be fulfilled:Tell Daughter Zion,“ See, your King is coming to you, gentle, and mounted on a donkey, and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.”The disciples went and did just as Jesus directed them.They brought the donkey and the colt; then they laid their clothes on them, and he sat on them.

“ Look, the days are coming”— this is the LORD’s declaration—“ when I will raise up a Righteous Branch for David. He will reign wisely as king and administer justice and righteousness in the land.In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely. This is the name he will be called: The LORD Is Our Righteousness.

“ Daughter Zion, shout for joy and be glad, for I am coming to dwell among you”— this is the LORD’s declaration.

they took palm branches and went out to meet him. They kept shouting:“ Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord— the King of Israel!”Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, just as it is written:Do not be afraid, Daughter Zion. Look, your King is coming, sitting on a donkey’s colt.His disciples did not understand these things at first. However, when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things had been written about him and that they had done these things to him.

For a child will be born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government will be on his shoulders. He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.The dominion will be vast, and its prosperity will never end. He will reign on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish and sustain it with justice and righteousness from now on and forever. The zeal of the LORD of Armies will accomplish this.

I— I am the LORD. Besides me, there is no Savior.

Zion, herald of good news, go up on a high mountain. Jerusalem, herald of good news, raise your voice loudly. Raise it, do not be afraid! Say to the cities of Judah,“ Here is your God!”

For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, and your Savior. I have given Egypt as a ransom for you, Cush and Seba in your place.

Look, the LORD has proclaimed to the ends of the earth,“ Say to Daughter Zion: Look, your salvation is coming, his wages are with him, and his reward accompanies him.”

Take up my yoke and learn from me, because I am lowly and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Now he came near the path down the Mount of Olives, and the whole crowd of the disciples began to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the miracles they had seen:Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord. Peace in heaven and glory in the highest heaven!

“ I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain.”

Your throne, God, is forever and ever; the scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of justice.You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of joy more than your companions.

Cry out and sing, citizen of Zion, for the Holy One of Israel is among you in his greatness.”

My heart is moved by a noble theme as I recite my verses to the king; my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer.

Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted: Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest heaven!

Speak up and present your case— yes, let them consult each other. Who predicted this long ago? Who announced it from ancient times? Was it not I, the LORD? There is no other God but me, a righteous God and Savior; there is no one except me.

They brought the colt to Jesus and threw their clothes on it, and he sat on it.

Indeed, a king will reign righteously, and rulers will rule justly.Each will be like a shelter from the wind, a refuge from the rain, like flowing streams in a dry land and the shade of a massive rock in an arid land.

The heavens proclaim his righteousness; all the peoples see his glory.All who serve carved images, those who boast in worthless idols, will be put to shame. All the gods must worship him.Zion hears and is glad, Judah’s villages rejoice because of your judgments, LORD.

His salvation is very near those who fear him, so that glory may dwell in our land.Faithful love and truth will join together; righteousness and peace will embrace.Truth will spring up from the earth, and righteousness will look down from heaven.Also, the LORD will provide what is good, and our land will yield its crops.

and said,“ Go into the village ahead of you. As you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, on which no one has ever sat. Untie it and bring it.If anyone asks you,‘ Why are you untying it?’ say this:‘ The Lord needs it.’”So those who were sent left and found it just as he had told them.As they were untying the colt, its owners said to them,“ Why are you untying the colt?”“ The Lord needs it,” they said.Then they brought it to Jesus, and after throwing their clothes on the colt, they helped Jesus get on it.

They will serve the LORD their God and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.

Be joyful, rejoice together, you ruins of Jerusalem! For the LORD has comforted his people; he has redeemed Jerusalem.The LORD has displayed his holy arm in the sight of all the nations; all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God.

This is the declaration of the LORD to my Lord:“ Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool.”The LORD will extend your mighty scepter from Zion. Rule over your surrounding enemies.Your people will volunteer on your day of battle. In holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn, the dew of your youth belongs to you.The LORD has sworn an oath and will not take it back:“ You are a priest forever according to the pattern of Melchizedek.”

She will give birth to a son, and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”

“ Rabbi,” Nathanael replied,“ You are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel!”

they are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.God presented him as the mercy seat by his blood, through faith, to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his restraint God passed over the sins previously committed.God presented him to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so that he would be just and justify the one who has faith in Jesus.

They shouted,“ Take him away! Take him away! Crucify him!” Pilate said to them,“ Should I crucify your king?”“ We have no king but Caesar!” the chief priests answered.
