But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end.For we know in part, and we prophesy in part,but when the perfect comes, the partial will come to an end.When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put aside childish things.For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, as I am fully known.Now these three remain: faith, hope, and love— but the greatest of these is love.Pursue love and desire spiritual gifts, and especially that you may prophesy.

Do not owe anyone anything, except to love one another, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.The commandments, Do not commit adultery; do not murder; do not steal; do not covet; and any other commandment, are summed up by this commandment: Love your neighbor as yourself.Love does no wrong to a neighbor. Love, therefore, is the fulfillment of the law.

For if your brother or sister is hurt by what you eat, you are no longer walking according to love. Do not destroy, by what you eat, someone for whom Christ died.

Now about food sacrificed to idols: We know that“ we all have knowledge.” Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.

Now the goal of our instruction is love that comes from a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith.
