You know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the Lord’s people. I urge you, brothers and sisters,

You know that the first believers in Achaia were from the family of Stephanas. They have spent all their time serving the Lord’s people. Brothers and sisters, I am asking you

Now I urge you, brothers— you know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints—

You know that Stephanas and his household were the first of the harvest of believers in Greece, and they are spending their lives in service to God’s people. I urge you, dear brothers and sisters,

Now I urge you, brothers and sisters: you know the household of Stephanas, that they are the first fruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to ministry to the saints;

Now I beg you, brothers— you know the house of Stephanas, that it is the first fruits of Achaia, and that they have set themselves to serve the saints—

Greet also the church that meets in their home. Greet my dear friend Epaenetus, who is the first convert to Christ from Asia.

I did, in fact, baptize the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don’t recall if I baptized anyone else.

Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve others, as good stewards of the varied grace of God.

Share with the saints in their needs; pursue hospitality.

Right now I am traveling to Jerusalem to serve the saints,

they begged us earnestly for the privilege of sharing in the ministry to the saints,

Now concerning the ministry to the saints, it is unnecessary for me to write to you.

So you should welcome her in the Lord in a manner worthy of the saints and assist her in whatever matter she may require your help. For indeed she has been a benefactor of many— and of me also.

In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha( which is translated Dorcas). She was always doing good works and acts of charity.About that time she became sick and died. After washing her, they placed her in a room upstairs.Since Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples heard that Peter was there and sent two men to him who urged him,“ Don’t delay in coming with us.”Peter got up and went with them. When he arrived, they led him to the room upstairs. And all the widows approached him, weeping and showing him the robes and clothes that Dorcas had made while she was with them.Peter sent them all out of the room. He knelt down, prayed, and turning toward the body said,“ Tabitha, get up.” She opened her eyes, saw Peter, and sat up.He gave her his hand and helped her stand up. He called the saints and widows and presented her alive.

These are the ones who have not defiled themselves with women, since they remained virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were redeemed from humanity as the firstfruits for God and the Lamb.

For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.Because of the proof provided by this ministry, they will glorify God for your obedient confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone.And as they pray on your behalf, they will have deep affection for you because of the surpassing grace of God in you.Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

and is well known for good works— that is, if she has brought up children, shown hospitality, washed the saints’ feet, helped the afflicted, and devoted herself to every good work.

For God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you demonstrated for his name by serving the saints— and by continuing to serve them.

I am delighted to have Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus present, because these men have made up for your absence.

Pray that I may be rescued from the unbelievers in Judea, that my ministry to Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints,

For I have great joy and encouragement from your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.
