Therefore, we ourselves boast about you among God’s churches— about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and afflictions that you are enduring.It is clear evidence of God’s righteous judgment that you will be counted worthy of God’s kingdom, for which you also are suffering,since it is just for God to repay with affliction those who afflict youand to give relief to you who are afflicted, along with us. This will take place at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels,

I now rejoice, not because you were grieved, but because your grief led to repentance. For you were grieved as God willed, so that you didn’t experience any loss from us.

For I fear that perhaps when I come I will not find you to be what I want, and you may not find me to be what you want. Perhaps there will be quarreling, jealousy, angry outbursts, selfish ambitions, slander, gossip, arrogance, and disorder.

No temptation has come upon you except what is common to humanity. But God is faithful; he will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation he will also provide the way out so that you may be able to bear it.

Consider it a great joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you experience various trials,because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance.And let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.

if we endure, we will also reign with him; if we deny him, he will also deny us;

Blessed is the one who endures trials, because when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

You are those who stood by me in my trials.I bestow on you a kingdom, just as my Father bestowed one on me,so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom. And you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

I am sure of this, that he who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.Indeed, it is right for me to think this way about all of you, because I have you in my heart, and you are all partners with me in grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel.

“ You are blessed when they insult you and persecute you and falsely say every kind of evil against you because of me.Be glad and rejoice, because your reward is great in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
