吾人現世暫寓之逆旅、固有土崩瓦解之時。然吾人在天有一永久之安宅焉。此宅也、非人手所造、乃天主之所賜也。

For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.

愛友乎、吾人今茲已為天主之子女矣。前途之光明、不可思議。惟當吾主顯現之日、吾人必獲見其本來面目、而酷肖之、此則吾人之所知也。

蓋吾一日寓此塵宅、即一日有予爾激發之天職；且知吾之脫離此宅、即在目前、正如吾主耶穌之所預示也。

然此真光之在吾人、猶珍寶之藏於瓦器也。應知可貴者在天主之德、而不在吾人之身。

今基督已至矣、彼乃新興恩寵時代之大司祭也。蓋彼已入閟帷、而成永久贖世之弘業。而其所通過之幕帷、實盡善盡美、非人手所設、亦不屬斯世；

蓋基督所入者、非一人手所倣造之聖所；彼實已直達天廷、且為吾人之故、而仰謁天顏矣。

雖然、具靈體者不在具形體者之先、乃在其後者也。先者本乎地而屬地、後者本乎天而歸天；一人屬地、則眾人屬地；一人屬天、則眾人屬天；

蓋吾人現處於逆旅之中、實不堪其局促、因是而呻吟焉；非以自求解脫、乃欲被上新服、庶幾有死之身得融化於永生之中。

使吾人欣欣向榮、以望承其不朽不染不衰之洪基、斯則夙為爾曹預儲於天矣。

吾父宅中、廣廈萬間、足庇爾眾。如其不然、予必早已相告矣。今予前往、必為爾預備居所；既往既備、當重來接爾、務使予之所在、爾等亦得與俱。

既知天地萬物終歸消滅、則爾等應如何孳孳為善、

即爾等之領受割禮、亦在基督之中：惟斯割禮非以人手為之、乃克己去欲之基督割禮也。

『吾儕親聞彼言、吾將毀此人手所造之殿、而於三日內另建一所、非人手所造者。』

蓋彼所企望者、乃一具有根基之城府、天主所營、天主所築也。

吾儕乃天主所假之手、爾等則為天主之田園、天主之第宅也。

顚沛流離。惟主知之。落魄之淚。惟主貯之。貯之於壺。錄之於書。

予之造次顛沛、備嘗艱辛、亦為此福音而已。然予不以為恥也。無他、予知所仰望者之為誰氏之子、且深信彼之所寄於予者、彼必能保其完整、以待彼日之臨也。
