同他到亞細亞去的人有庇哩亞人畢羅斯的兒子所巴特、帖撒羅尼迦人亞里達古和西公都，還有特庇人該猶、提摩太、亞細亞人推基古和特羅非摩。

你們也知道，我們之前在腓立比遭受了迫害和凌辱，遇到強烈的反對，但仍然靠著我們的上帝放膽向你們傳揚祂的福音。

他的門徒趁夜間用筐子把他從城牆上縋下去。

喇合的房子就在城牆邊，她就住在城牆上，於是她用繩子把二人從窗口縋下去，並對他們說：「你們往山上去，免得被追捕的人發現。你們要在那裡躲三天，等追捕的人回城以後才可以走。」

於是，千夫長召來兩名百夫長，吩咐道：「預備二百名步兵、七十名騎兵、二百名長槍手，今晚九時出發去凱撒利亞。要給保羅預備坐騎，護送他安全抵達腓利斯總督那裡。」

保羅和巴拿巴得知後，就逃往呂高尼的路司得和特庇二城並周圍的地區，在那裡繼續傳揚福音。
