But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia.

But the prince of Persia opposed me for 21 days. Then Michael came to help me. He is one of the leaders of the angels. He helped me win the battle over the king of Persia.

The prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days, but Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I was left there with the kings of Persia,

But for twenty one days the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the archangels, came to help me, and I left him there with the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia.

「那時，守護你本國人民的天使長米迦勒必出現。將有一段災難時期，是開國以來從未有過的。那時，你同胞中凡名字記在冊子上的，必得拯救。

當天使長米迦勒為摩西的屍體跟魔鬼爭辯的時候，尚且不敢用毀謗的話譴責牠，只說：「願主責罰你！」

天上起了戰爭，米迦勒和他的天使出戰巨龍。巨龍和牠的天使極力抵抗，

他說：「你知道我為什麼要到你這裡來嗎？現在我要回去與波斯的守護神爭戰。我離開後，希臘的守護神就會來。除了你們的守護天使米迦勒以外，誰也不能幫助我抵擋他們。我來是要把記錄在真理書上的事告訴你。

基督已經升到天上，坐在上帝的右邊，眾天使、掌權的、有能力的都服從了祂。

你們在基督裡得到了豐盛的生命。祂是一切執政者和掌權者的元首。

因為我們爭戰的對象不是這世上的血肉之軀，而是在這黑暗世界執政的、掌權的、管轄的和天上屬靈的邪惡勢力。

我們想去你們那裡，我保羅也一次又一次地想去，只是遭到撒旦的攔阻。

耶和華又讓我看見約書亞大祭司站在祂的天使面前，撒旦站在約書亞的右邊要控訴他。耶和華對撒旦說：「撒旦啊，耶和華斥責你！揀選耶路撒冷的耶和華斥責你！這人豈不像從火中抽出來的一根柴嗎？」

於是，當地人阻撓猶大人，使他們不敢建殿，從波斯王塞魯士統治年間，一直到波斯王大流士統治期間，當地人收買謀士，破壞他們的計劃。亞哈隨魯統治初期，他們寫信控告猶大和耶路撒冷的居民。

於是，耶路撒冷上帝殿的重建工程停止了，一直停到波斯王大流士第二年。
