从他面前有火，像河发出；侍奉他的有千千，在他面前侍立的有万万；他坐着要行审判，案卷都展开了。

长老中有一位对我说：“不要哭！看哪，犹大支派中的狮子，大卫的根，他已得胜，能以展开那书卷，揭开那七印。”

与我说话的天使去的时候，又有一位天使迎着他来，

他指教我说：“但以理啊，现在我出来要使你有智慧，有聪明。

他对我说：“大蒙眷爱的但以理啊，要明白我与你所说的话，只管站起来，因为我现在奉差遣来到你这里。”他对我说这话，我便战战兢兢地立起来。他就说：“但以理啊，不要惧怕！因为从你第一日专心求明白将来的事，又在你神面前刻苦己心，你的言语已蒙应允；我是因你的言语而来。

“我夜间观看，见一人骑着红马，站在洼地番石榴树中间。在他身后又有红马、黄马，和白马。”我对与我说话的天使说：“主啊，这是什么意思？”他说：“我要指示你这是什么意思。”那站在番石榴树中间的人说：“这是奉耶和华差遣在遍地走来走去的。”那些骑马的对站在番石榴树中间耶和华的使者说：“我们已在遍地走来走去，见全地都安息平静。”

我听见有一位圣者说话，又有一位圣者问那说话的圣者说：“这除掉常献的燔祭和施行毁坏的罪过，将圣所与军旅践踏的异象，要到几时才应验呢？”他对我说：“到二千三百日，圣所就必洁净。”我但以理见了这异象，愿意明白其中的意思。忽有一位形状像人的站在我面前。我又听见乌莱河两岸中有人声呼叫说：“加百列啊，要使此人明白这异象。”

举目观看，见有一人身穿细麻衣，腰束乌法精金带。他身体如水苍玉，面貌如闪电，眼目如火把，手和脚如光明的铜，说话的声音如大众的声音。

我但以理观看，见另有两个人站立：一个在河这边，一个在河那边。有一个问那站在河水以上、穿细麻衣的说：“这奇异的事到几时才应验呢？”

“万军之耶和华如此说：你若遵行我的道，谨守我的命令，你就可以管理我的家，看守我的院宇；我也要使你在这些站立的人中间来往。
