Wisdom is a shelter as money is a shelter, but the advantage of knowledge is this: Wisdom preserves those who have it.

Wisdom provides safety, just as money provides safety. But here’s the advantage of wisdom. It guards those who have it.

For the protection of wisdom is like the protection of money, and the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the life of him who has it.

上帝歟、尚其憫我、尚其憫我、我心託庇於爾、在爾翼之蔭下、待斯災禍之逝兮、

震怒之日、資財無益、惟義拯人於死、

精明必衛爾、通達必保爾、

耶和華之名乃堅臺、義者趨之得安穩、富人之財、為其堅城、視若高垣、

爾之時日、必享綏安、拯救智慧、知識俱富、寅畏耶和華、為爾之寶、○

當識上帝、而得平康、福祉則必臨爾、請受其口之訓、存其言於心、爾若歸向全能者、除爾幕中之不義、必得建立、爾其擲礦金於塵埃、擲俄斐之金於澗石、則全能者為爾礦金、為爾寶銀、

我今呼籲天地為證、以生死祝詛、陳於爾前、爾其選生、俾爾及爾子孫、得以生存、且愛爾上帝耶和華、聽從其言、而依附之、蓋耶和華為爾生命、及爾延年之由、使爾居於其所誓賜爾祖亞伯拉罕以撒雅各之地、

蓋由於我、加爾時日、增爾年齡、

窮乏者鄰亦惡之、富厚者友朋眾多、

起往埃及、未請示於我口、惟以法老為保障、託埃及之蔭庇、禍哉其人、

此事於爾、所關非淺、乃爾之生命、由此得以延年、於渡約但而得之地、○

為正直者蓄真智、為行端者之盾干、

我知其命乃永生、故我所言、乃依父語我者言之耳、

棘曰、若誠膏我為王治爾、則來匿我蔭下、不然、則願火自棘出、燬利巴嫩之香柏、

永生也者、識爾為獨一之真上帝、與爾所遣之耶穌基督也、
