In that day the Egyptians will become weaklings. They will shudder with fear at the uplifted hand that the Lord Almighty raises against them.

In days to come, the people of Egypt will become weak. The Lord who rules over all will raise his hand against them. Then they will tremble with fear.

In that day the Egyptians will be like women, and tremble with fear before the hand that the Lord of hosts shakes over them.

In that day the Egyptians will be as weak as women. They will cower in fear beneath the upraised fist of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

巴比倫的勇士停止了爭戰；在營寨裏呆着；他們的勇力都衰盡了；他們都變得像婦人女子。巴比倫的居所有火着起；其門閂都折斷了。

看哪，你的兵眾在你中間簡直是婦人女子；你國土的門戶都向仇敵敞開着；你的門閂、火燒燬了。

就在今天、亞述王就要在挪伯歇兵了；他就要掄手攻打錫安城的山，耶路撒冷的山岡了。

讓刀劍攻擊她的馬匹和車輛，攻擊其中的雜族眾人，使他們變像婦人女子！讓刀劍攻擊她的寶物，使它們都被劫掠！

永恆主必使人聽他威嚴的聲音，使人看他膀臂之下擊，他忿怒中的震怒、和吞滅的火燄、傾盆大雨、暴風、冰雹。永恆主使杖擊打的時候，亞述人必因永恆主的聲音而驚慌。永恆主所加於他身上的懲罰之杖、每打一下，就有擊鼓彈琴的聲音；永恆主必用掄起來的打仗之手跟他交戰。

『看吧，我必向着他們掄手，他們就做服事他們的人的掠物，那麼你們便知道萬軍之永恆主差遣了我。

一人叱喝，千人就發顫，五人叱喝，你們就逃跑，以致你們剩下的就像山頂上的旗杆，岡陵上的旌旗。

掉在永活的上帝手裏、真是可怕呀！

在那裏戰兢抓住了他們；他們掙扎難過、像產難的婦人一樣。

『永恆主這麼說：我們聽見了令人發抖的聲音；只有恐懼，沒有平安。你們去問問，去看看，有男人能生產的沒有？為甚麼我總看見人人都用手掐腰，像要生產的婦人，臉面都變青了呢？唉，那日子是個大日，無可比擬，就是雅各遭難的時期；但他是必被救出的。
